Was just to beautiful of a night not to give it a shake so "Patch", "Carly" & I took a slow stroll down the bottom. Run one a lil ways & had it on the outside of a den tree.

Did an about face towards the house & they just come treed after a hook into the wind.

My first solo hunt in 8 months or more. Crawlers everywhere,owls carryin on like they was just happy spring is here. Coyotes gettin me thinkin bout the steel handcuffs I'm gona be puttin on them & seen a good bunch of deer that stood & watched the dogs trail past them.

Felt like I was breakin the rules? I didn't mind stumblin & the hounds where unexpectedly calm cool & collected. Didn't make me regret givin it a go.Probably wonderin what in tarnasion I was doin leadin them with no one else along in the dark?

Oh how I miss the solo adventures...........................

Took "Patch" to the vet cuz I was feelin there was sumthin wrong with him. He once again tested a strong posative for Lymes. Vet said as strong as it was that we probably never got rid of it the last time. If thats the case he's been packin it for goin on two years.

Back on meds & hopin this woops it?

He's been restin for a few nights but is wantin to get after it so guess we're gona hav'ta accomadate him & see how he's feelin.

Mr. Downing,

We made it back to my house at 3:30 this morning.

How much of the white stuff did you all , end up with? We were in it solid for about 20 miles going home, and then it was hit and miss after that.

I would have really liked to have got to see Bum go, but the ice sure had us worried.

Happy ya mader home safe & didn't hav'ta mess with the weather we got to far. Also happy to share genetics with ya anytime & The"Bum" said to tell ya, "thanks for the action"....lol! We had like 3" of hail,frozen rain,big wet flakes,dry fluffy ones with a touch of regular rain on the ground when it was done. Was sloppy then froze up hard but it's workin on leavin as I speak.

Busy day workin with my housedawgs today. Beautification stuff largely gettin'um all gussied up for their vacation.

Nice job on your first place win and for your wins in the show. Ty had a lot of fun hunting with Ben. He was very proud that he guided the first place cast.

Keep a look out for a cabin or lodge to rent up there for the youth hunt in july. It has to have air conditioning or my wife will not be happy and when momma is not happy no one is happy!

Matt & his "Moe" female,sister to "Patch" started her nite hunt career off with a 3rd place last nite with 300+. This lil dog gona tree a lot of coon in your hip pocket.

Their mother is in heat but not 100% on what & if we're gona breed her. Couple thoughts we's stirrin around.
