THOSE TRUCK MOUNT ANTENNAS WITH A LONG RANGE ANTENNA ON THE COLLAR IS AWESOME. I DIDN'T GO ANY FARTHER THAN THE 4 MILES TO THE GAS STATION IN TOWN, AND THAT IS WITH TWO BIG BLUFFS IN BETWEEN THE COLLARS AND TOWN. TODD SAID OUT THEIR IN THE FLAT LANDS OF IOWA HE WAS GETTING 13 MILES AND HADN'T DROPPED SIGNAL. I REALLY LIKE THE GPS ASPECT AS COMPARED TO THE OLD BEEP BEEP SYSTEM. GET ALOT MORE HUNTIN DONE IN A NITE BY PINPOINTING WHERE THEY ARE AND GETTING TO THEM ASAP. <v>

Been gettin some reports from a few guys that they are showing they may have the makens of a coondawg. Theres a male down by Clinton that has gotten after a dead coon he came acrossed that was thrown up on work bench a young boy south of me has a male that i kept interest in that is runnin and treein cats already and or BIG PIMPIN MALE came acrossed a hide that was hung up to dry and treed on it with no persuading.

BEEN KINDA SHUT DOWN HERE FOR AWHILE AS FAR AS THE HUNTIN GOES. SOON AS THIS MOON GOES DOWN A BIT, WE ARE GONNA GET BACK AT IT SOME. DON'T KNOW ABOUT KILLIN MANY MORE THIS SEASON THOUGH AS WE HAVE HAD SOMETHING GO THROUGH AND KILL OFF SOME OF OUR COON POPULATION. WE HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COON SKULLS AND SKELETONS ALONG CREEKS HERE IN N.W. ILLINOIS. I HAVE TREED 73 COON TO DATE, IT HAS BEEN TOUGH, ALOT OF GROUND COVERED AND SOME HARD HARD HUNTIN TO TAKE WHAT I'VE TAKEN. IT HAS BEEN QUITE A FEW YEARS SINCE THIS HAS HAPPENED SO I SUPPOSE WE WERE DUE. <v>

just want to say congrats on owning such a good hound and in my opinon from wat ive seen theres not many dogs reproducing coondogs like he does.never owned one but would like to get one out of him wish wasnt so far.but any way congrats

Is out of oppy and mitchells VAL sister to Perry's sage female.Oppy sure does reproduce Shelly's not perfect by any means but when it comes to treeing coon not many compares and she reproduces coondogs as well!My whole kennel is based on her she has been bred 4 times now and I have 3 pups out of her and running 1 for a friend his name is Grwch Fch Ch rock acres Brutus and his sister is Nitech shivers magic buckeye very proud of these two.So Oppy reproduces reproducers !!

GLAD TO SEE OPPY AND YOU STILL KICKING IT. I HOPE 2013 IS GOOD TO YOU, AND OPPY GETS TO COVER A COUPLE FEMALES. I'VE HUNTED A FEW TIMES WITH WILLY THIS SEASON, AND HE IS TURNING INTO A FINE HOUND. HE HAS BEEN HUNTED PRETTY SPARINGLY, BUT IS A COON TREEING LITTLE SOB. JACOB HAS BEEN BUSY CHASING THE TAIL AROUND, AND NOT THE KIND WITH RINGS AROUND IT. LOL. OUR COON NUMBERS SEEM TO BE DOWN, AND THE OLDER MATURE COONS JUST DON'T SEEM TO HAVE TO MOVE MUCH. THE RUT SHOULD BE STARTING SOON HERE, AND AS LONG AS WE AREN'T FROZE OVER IT SHOULD MAKE FOR SOME BETTER HUNTING. I'LL TRY AND GET SOME NEW PICTURES OF WILLY AND POST THEM. HE AND THE BLAZE DOG OF BUCK'S ARE LITTERMATES AREN'T THEY? LATER ON.

I DON'T BLAME OLE SKINNY FOR BEIN IN RUT EARLY. OH TO BE THAT AGE AGAIN. GLAD TO HERE WILLY IS DOING A GOOD JOB AND YES, BLAZE IS A FULL BROTHER TO WILLIE. HE IS MAKIN A NICE ONE ALSO. I SURE LIKE THE LOOKS OF YOUR BLASTER DOG OFF OF BOOMER. HE PUTS THAT BELLY RUBBIN TREE STYLE IN UM.
THE YEARS DO FLY BY AND IT DON'T SLOW UP ANY AS WE GET OLDER. NEXT WEEK IS LOOKIN TO WARM UP SOME AND WITH IT DARK, GONNA CHASE OLE RICKY A LITTLE MORE. OUR NUMBERS ARE DOWN AROUND HERE ALSO, SO PROBABLY WON'T KILL TO MANY MORE. SHORTEN UP SKINNY'S LEASH IF THAT WEATHER GETS BETTER SO WILLY GETS A FEW MORE NITES IN THE WOODS.

Thanks Perry. Dad always taught me anything worth doing is worth doing right. He also started lugging me along coon hunting when I was around 3 years old, so the flame was lit early on.

Dad had a Hammer bred dog back when he was younger, I sure would like to get him another one to try some day. He said he could walk a track faster than that dog could run one. I try telling him that the ones I've seen go are just a little better than that.

He's since found a line of red dogs he is satisfied with. I'm sure if he could get a blue pup that had half the abilities I've seen some of them possess, he might have a blue dog or 2 tied up at the house, for profiling purposes of course.

That is true about the hunts if it wasn't for all the breeds it would not be any fun. There is good in all breeds. I have seen some good bluedogs but you have to feed them 365 days out of the year so if you like the looks that makes it easier to look at them. But i would not turn down the chance to go with you some time ( Jodaviess1).

I AGREE CARL. YOU HAVE TO LIKE THEM TO START WITH TO PUT THE EFFORT INTO RAISING AND HUNTING THEM. NONE OF IT IS EASY OR FREE SO ALL THE ABOVE HAS TO COME TOGETHER TO HAVE A GOOD ONE, NO MATTER THE COLOR.
