We are working on that right now actually. Gauge had a date with GRNTCH Queen Bee and that is being completed this week. If the ride works out he will be here for a couple months then he's going to be right back at Joe's.

Gauge is 8 now.

A year ago at Autumn Oaks Joe had the pleasure of meeting a nice you g fellow that wanted a Bluetick puppy. After looking them all over he chose a Gauge x Queen pup. Unfortunately the pup he chose died. Well the pup was replaced with one that is now known as Razor and I feel he is aptly named cause he is sharp.
A while back I got a message that the pup had been out 5 times and had treed 3 coons a den and a slick!!!!
Joe sent his apologies to mr Austin McClain and told him most Gauge puppies do that in One night !!!!!! LOL

Anyhow we are thrilled he's working out for you Austin he sounds great!!

kevin and joe,i just wanna say thank you for posting that vid of razor,i know Austin{my son} is gona be tickled to death that his pride and joys vid is on this post.razor has been a natural,the most natural pup ive been to the woods with.when razor loads up and throws those 2 long loud bawls Austin gets a twinkle in his eyes and a grin.thanks again!!!!!

Had a good Hunt last night with 3 guys that really like to hunt and had never been coon hunting before. They are having coon trouble around their deer stands and garbage!! Really !!! Well would you like to go coon hunting??
Picked up Eric Deshane and his 2 dogs Dixie ( Gauge x Rain) and 6 Gauge (gauge x 6 pack) and I had Ace (Gauge x Snooter).
The first drop Ace and Gauge struck within 150 yards and Dixie was not wanting to be part of this as she was gathering real estate in a hurry. She was heading for a main rd so Eric had to leave w the truck to head her off.
Ace treed on a huge pine w 6 gauge rt behind. There was a coon looking and I started plinking. Look then not look deal. 1 very big coon came out very pi//ed
Off and the fight was on. When I got to the back of the tree it was full of coons and another was hit and wobbly. Little shooting by the newbies who couldn't get the hang of eyeballs. End result 3 coons and several left looking.
Next drop they struck on the leash and ran a decent feeder track and headed for the deer hunters pile business picked up quick and Dixie treed followed by the other 2.
Another real nice coon.
Took a little video Eric shot the coon out EVENTUALLY and we called it a night!

If anyone is interested I have a 15 month old pup off guage and black log trick (bullet ll) that I will sell. He's been shown one caged coon and been hunted one night. He has a good mouth and is light in color. I have too many dogs and a few has to go. I have another guage male that I am starting to put most of my time into. If interested give me a call. Thanks

Just thought I would post an update on Hanna, she is out of Gauge and Roy Cliftons Robin bitch. Hanna will be a year old later this month. Been taking her since she was 3 1/2 months old and believe me she has always stayed with the older hounds, she has the heart. Hanna started treeing very young and treeing her own coon and doing a pretty good job at it. She has a few minor things to take care of but for a young bitch there is a couple things she has I like, heart, desire and not afraid to get treed.

I have a couple of those Guage pups that just turned 8 months old and I could not ask for better prospects, they both have been treeing their own coon since they were 5 and 1/2 months old! That mix of Guage and Boomer blood seems to work! Good job men on your persistance with these bloodlines,
