CW talked with Cole both nights and he is real excited. Shot held
His own both nights. The other handlers where expressed with
Him and how young he is.

Charles thanks for the info on Double Shot's cast win at the Winter Classic. Sure hope he will make Nt Ch soon. Henry Miller's littermate is very close as well. Paul Kieffer messaged me from Mn. with a video of Zoey (Rejet X Scott Phillip's Hooker) from a hunt last night and a photo of one very pregnant Joleen, who is bred to Rejet. Ed called with plans to head down here later this month-looking forward to that big time. Spent today getting my truck back on the road-last Sat. night returning home from hunting I center punched a deer at 60 mph, was towed home and got her fixed today. Bobby Carter and I just got back from a nice short hunt with Lady (6 Again X Tree Slammin Lady) and Rejet Junior (Rejet X May Flower). If Junior keeps going like he is, he will be able to throw an All Grand 3 gen ped. Two good bawl mouthed dogs ran a hot one that took us forever to see in the top of the tree. I wrapped my feet in those lite weight grocery bags-cause my hip boots leak and I got soaked on our last hunt. Bobby said "You don't need grocery bags, you need full size, extra strength garbage bags!" What I need is a new pair of hip boots. Hearing a lot of good things and getting a bunch of calls from different areas. Best day of my life so far!

Busy getting ready for local hunts and some visitors from the frozen North. A recent call confirms that Jet 10 is active in the breeding pen as well as the woods. Larry Harvey, Cory Carlson and Ed lined some females up for him. Ed's Nt Ch Lady II (6 Again X Treeslammin Lady) and Cory's Gr Ch Gr Nt Ch I Love Lucy along with just about everything that comes from Larry Harvey,s-I would make a space in pens for 1 out of any of these. People who wish to breed to males directly out of 6 Again can find some fine opportunities in different areas of the country: Nt Ch Ramblin Blue Junior is at Joe's in Va. 540-341-4655. Ch Nt Ch Steber Smith's Blue Buzzard is at John's in Illinois 618-838-3572. Gr Nt Ch Gr Ch Mead's Bl Rejet is at Cary's in Texas 903-477-9380. Gr Ch Nt Ch Blue Bio 6 Again's Big Boy is in Ga. at Jacob and Johnny Webb's. I have a litter mate to Rejet called Bo down here in Ga. 478-361-7703. All these dogs have produced some nice young hounds and combine that with what their sisters have produced and as was predicted, the results and the numbers are starting to show up. All the men mentioned above are hunters who will treat you right. Puppies and Spring are on their way!

Went for a hunt near the Dodge County line tonight. Ended up treeing a couple of Coons with Mead's Blue Jet 10 and Nt Ch Mead's Blue Jack. Ed Mead, Brett Norman, Bobby and Ben Carter and 13 year old Justin's first Coon Hunt-who shot out this Coon.

Looking Good!

Wish I could have been there. Is Ed teaching the youngsters how to "shoot em out from the hip"?

Looks nice

Bet Ed was glad to be some place warmer & not have snow under his boots. Sure wish it would get like that up here, too.At least it's March, so Iowa & Michigan will start to thaw out soon. Take care, Ron.

During most of Ed's visit here there was rain or a threat of rain. Conditions in Georgia have improved since Ed got down to Bob Kennedy's.This use to be an annual trip for the Winter Classic. May and October I would be in Michigan and each January Ed would be down here. Joe I am glad they made it down. Kevin- Ed did not bring his "Shoot em out from the hip" special. He has had plenty of fun at every ones expense with plenty of good natured practical jokes and laughs. Ron-we have climbed into the 70's for a couple of days and it is a little warmer down at Bob's, so Ed and Brett are loving that and both are quick to point out the current temps back home in Michigan. I am giving a good bit of attention and effort to some young ones from Rejet and Jet II -males and females from line bred Jet dams. I am encouraged by some new people pushing these dogs. They have the means, determination and enthusiasm to accomplish what ever goals they set. The individuals that I am talking about are a good group of men and I tell them all the time that I will be there number 1 cheerleader.

A big thank you to Brad Henson. Brad sent me a nice video of his solo pup treeing from his telephone to mine. I would love to share it on here. For that to happen, I would have to send it to Scott Phillips, who would in turn post it so we could see it. The Solo pup is from Rejet and Nt Ch Outcross' Diamond W Delta Dash (6 Again X Gr Nt Ch Pounding Blue Birdy.) Brad's enthusiasm and determination are as convincing as they are contagious. The group of Bluetick men that Brad is a member of are getting results from there efforts. I predict here and now that they have just scratched the surface. Continued good luck to all of you!

That's too bad he had to leave it at home. LOL

I am betting he could have gotten some pretty big smiles with it. I am usually pretty good at figuring out what is coming when someone starts joking around, but I have to admit I had no clue what was coming when Ed had learned how to shoot em out from the hip.

Glad to hear everyone had a good time.

Gr Nt Ch Joleen

Congratulations to Paul Kieffer and Joleen on winning last night to make Joleen a Grand Night Champion. Paul called to say he will be traveling to Scott Phillips' in Michigan to deliver Joleen's and Rejet's litter. Plans are for me to pick up one good looking little rascal out of that cross at Bluetick Days. Paul has Zoey from Hooker x Rejet and says now he will be putting more effort into her-think she will win on the bench too. Cory Carlson, who lives close to Paul, has been hitting it pretty hard lately-predicting good things for him again as well. Ed has a couple of pups on the ground out of Jet 10 x Lady II ( 6 Again x Tree Slammin Lady). I would be willing to give part of my anatomy if one of them was to start quick. The collection process will be completed soon on Rejet Cary Costlow tells me. Wish Scott's Hooker female was younger-if a cross ever needed to be repeated, it is Rejet and Hooker. Cary has purchased a female with very similar breeding and will be breeding her to Rejet, so time will tell if indeed this was the way to go. Best day of my life so far-off to enjoy it, hope you do!

Texans

Ran into these two men who claim to be from Texas and also claim to hunt with Jet bred Blueticks. If any of you recognize these gentlemen please identify them for us. They did have two fine looking young Blue dogs in their dog box.

Bluetick Days

Had a good time visiting with folks and meeting some I have heard about on here. It is nice to go to these events when I am not responsible for putting them on and just get to talk dogs. Now people are asking questions on possible breedings and which direction to go with a particular line of dogs. Here is Harold White with White's Blue Jetta Blue (Gr Nt Ch Jet V Again x Gr Ch Gr Nt Ch Tucker-Meads Blue Bess IV) -2nd place in the all Blue hunt on Thursday night. Future looks bright ahead for this little darling down here.
