Thanks Tim. She's getting some coon knocked out to her. Leggs and hic treed a single and split treed 100 yrds apart on den trees last night. Took smoke and hic tonight treed double and two singles. One was a layup. Hic got to tangle with a 20pounder that was very very a live. She killed it byherself after a serious battle. She's got a lot of grit and will get through the country side fast.

Timmy picked up a year old litter mate sister to Hic and we will be hitting the woods with her. Never have hunted with her but heard she will do it all. She is a Smoke X Drizz cross.
Sold all of our pups and have a new litter out of Drizz comming around the 22nd of this month. Smoke was a Christmas born pup and maybe these will take after dad being born around the same time.LOL
Worked midnights all week and got called back in and working 16 hours a day through the weekend. Splicing cables back together after a cable tray fire. Not bad though, only 15 cables with 12 wires in each and about 40 ft long.
Hope to get in the woods starting monday night . Guess Timmy will have to go it alone till then.
We have a few young started dogs that show a whole lot of promise. Pretty good line up for kill season and they are all enjoyable to hunt. No trash and a bunch of go. They are all really nice tree dogs and have a ton of grit.

just getting back on track after a long work week. We went to Ada and had a horrible hunt friday night. Saturday night was a lot better but we didn't get a cast win.
Smoke looked good saturday night but just didn't catch the good breaks. Leggs would look good at the start of the hunt and then go backwards.
Think we will settle down to just plain ole coon huntin for the winter.
We have some super prospects comming on that are running and treeing. Just need a lot of huntin.

The hunting picked up last night. I hunted Robin and Hic up north with my son-in-law and 11yr old grandson. we had a blast and treed 3 singles and got Kyle back home at mid night. He had school today.

The hunting has been really good around here this past week. The young dogs are doing great and getting some fur in their mouth.

Been alternating between dogs each night and treeing alot of coon. I haven't been harvesting many coon though. The blue tounge not only has hit the deer population but it is working on the other animals as well. Talked to a friend that has been finding not only dead deer but has found coon dead also. With this drought I think the winter will be rough on our coon population.

All the dogs are looking good in the timber and we are really excited about the 1yr old Smoke pups. They all have a lot of natural traits to tree and can flat out move a track. Time in the woods will show us by this spring what we got.

Got to cold for me last night. I caught a bad cold and have stayed in the last three nights. Hunted pretty steady for the last couple of weeks. We have had some really good hunts. Treeing a lot of coon and working some young dogs.

Glad to hear about Marks pup. Heard she was impressive.

Timmy is hunting a littermate to Marks female that is turning it on also.

Talked to Mark Brown and he said that his son Scott's Smoke pup is coon crazy and they are haveing some good hunts.

The same female that all these pups are out of will have pups out of Smoke again this weekend. This was an awsome cross. She is heavey Utchman bred. First of the week I will post a ped and maybe get some pic's.

Been a super busy week and weekend around here.

Christmas eve Timmy played santa for all the little kids. He sent all the kids to the basement for candy and had one more package. Santa proposed to Kaylee and gave her a ring. Needless to say quite a night!!

The new year is full of oportunity. We have a full year to make some new waves with our hounds. Going to take a lot of hunting and a lot of culling to impact the breed. This is the start at my house any way. Timmy and I have some young hounds that show some promise. Smoke has some pups started and another one ready to stsrt. They have an abundance of drive I just hope I can steer them.haha

I contacted lymes and also rocky mointian spotted fever about 2 years ago. It has been a roller coster ever since. Doc has been checking my blood titters every month and Ive been on docecyline for a long time. Two weeks ago the RMSF titters started going way up. They took test again and they are still going up. Any way he put me in tue afternoon and started me on iv antibiotics and steriods for 72hrs. Should get to go home this afternoon.
Guys dont take the ticks lightly. Spray down for them every time you go hunting. You can buy permithren at tractor supply for about 18bucks abottle and spray your clothes and boots and it works good on the dogs also.
