I had it today. My wifes Granny had chicken and dumplins, [ made like they should be with big gobs of dough laid gently in chicken broth], fried chicken [ fried in a black cast iron skillet ], and fried apple pies, [with dried apples not applesauce, fried in lard she made ]. And as Grandpa Jones always said on Hee Haw, YUM, YUM! My wifes Granny is a ol mountain women [ 89 or 90 years old, shes not sure about her age ], and shes really reminds me of my Grannys, [ on both sides of my family, there with the LORD now], and I really love to be around her. Since I got hurt, [6 months back], Ive been tryin to watch my weight, [ I dont need to carry any extra around, and since I got hurt Ive went from 209 to 180, because of the gym and the pain meds]. But that went out the door today. I believe HEAVEN will have food like that, [ remember the SOUTH is the BIBLE BELT!!] GOD BLESS YALL ALL.
Sounds like good eatin Reb. I have been as high as 215 eatin Cheeze Burgers and fries and all that other good tastin stuff...but now-days I just eat that at family or friends gathering or in times of need. Sometimes have to eat fast food when in a hurry. Never over-do it anymore, Have been at or about 185 for several years now. I'm bout 6' 1". I think that puts me within the guidelines.
