Heard it might cool down to the mid 80s after thursday but there is going to be a full moon. Caught a caged coon and went and picked up Robin so I plan to work her on thursday night.
Took Froggie by herself last night and she hunted out fine, guess we will wait and see if she gets more independant as time goes by.
Keep ole Smoke tuned up. Maybe I can get back over there to hunt with you next week or so. ......Roy

Just got back in .... my night ended earlier than it should have ... took a corn leaf to my right eye .... sore as heck! Didnt do any good ... took Baby out tonight ... she started two differant tracks but didnt finish them off. Guess she is rustier than I thought. My own fault for concentrating on Cindi so much ... Got my work cut out for me.

Talked to Bill Kaeneal, WI. last night and hes sure likes his John II pups. He says that they will run and tree turned loose coon in the day time and at night. He says that they don't act like pups, he has never seen pups get treed the way these pups do, when they tree they pay no attention to any thing else and have to be dragged off the trees. Not bad for 5 mos old ! John II x Hillbilly Millie..........Tim

Didn't do any good this weekend at Clinton, but johnny Yoder got another NT CH win on Kit. That makes 4. He finished her to NT CH the weekend before THE Bluetick Reunion (2 1st and a 2nd). She is a nice hound that likes to get by herself. Tony Simmons is hunting a young female out of Kit and My John II that is really looking good, she should be in the hunts real soon.......Tim

Talked to Brian Pierson Tues and he told me about his hunt Mon night with Ranger (Turk x Brooks Mya)(sp) and a couple of pups. He said that he turned loose in 4 ditches and treed 4 litters with all dogs looking good(wacker female and a Psyco Sid male). He plans on putting Ranger in the hunts soon.........Tim

Bill Kaeneal called last night to tell me about his pups. Bill and his son took the two pups out entirely by themselves, they went hunting, struck, trailed and treed their first coon. Bill says that they act like old pros at 5 mos old, He has pictures and says that he will get them on here as soon as he can, (John II x Hillbilly Millie)........Tim

Those John II x Millie pups sound like they are turning out awesome.

My John II pup "Zeke" is doing well also ... tracking and treeing with my Cindi dog ... another time or two and I will be testing him on his own. Man does he have a loud loud voice thats easy to hear ... and easy to distinguish!

Busy summer so far ... Baleing hay again today. My daughter Nicole and her kids are on their way down to Missouri to visit her mother & father in law .... told her to wave at ya as she goes by .... lol ........... Take care ... Steve

I have been getting really good reports on John II pups and they are not just in one litter. I have had the same type calls from Uchtman bred females, Smokey River, Hammer, Pop-A-Top, Jet, and Mad Dogs just to name a few of the different bloodlines. Its nice to have so many calls talking about their John II pups and how quickly they start treeing........Tim
