Met up with Todd & Travis Ackerman Friday night for a hunt and to pick up my pup out of Spit & Girlfriend. Had a good time and seen some nice dog work out of old Spit and a daughter of his. Spit amazes me every time i see him go with his ability to get in there and find a track and how fast and easy he gets em lined out and makes em climb. made 4 trees seen 4 coon and ran a 5th into an old house.

This little gyp out of Spit and girlfriend is a ball of fire and absolutely feerless! My hopes were high when this cross was made but after picking this pup up my excitement level is threw the roof can't wait till spring to this little firecracker in the woods

YOU'VE GOT A NICE BUNCH TO PICK FROM THERE, AND BRED THE WAY WE LIKE UM. THERES A CHILL IN THE AIR, GOT THE KNIFE SHARP AND AM EXCITED THAT IT'S ABOUT HARD HUNTIN TIME AGAIN. I GET LAID OFF THE 25TH, GOTTA ROOF A COUPLE SHEDS AND TRY AND GET A DEER OR 2 STUCK IN THE TEN DAY SHUT DOWN BEFORE SEASON, AND THEN IT'S ON. <v> P.S. Finished the "Bum" to GrNtChGrChGWCh couple weeks ago. "Oppy's" first Triple Grand. He smoked'um thru the Water race run. Run outa stuff to enter these fairly young hounds in after a while other than the few hunts.

I know you know that we are extremely fond of the "Bum". His demeanor with newbies learnin with him is priceless. Pretty much sets himself up for the ladies & youngsters to show. They've won a good mess of titles with him. Fairly sure they ain't done either.

He's gona keep educatin his kids & grandkids while we enjoy the tar outa him just treein coon's. I got a fresh jug of super glue for his ears this fall & the rest of the needed stuff for Dr'n.

He lives like his father. In the house,goes campin & stuff with us, which I beleive he enjoys. Loves the lil people & they love him. Even Miss Brynlee at less than two know's who "Bum" is & call's for him.

As a bonus we've got some dandy pup's outa him & his kids that keep the kennel,inside & out, full of prospects or in some cases now,semi retiree's.

There's so many traits seemingly locked in with these models from the many models before them that I puff my chest a tad every time certain things go down or I hear how cool this or that is that is the standard for us & has been for decades. Been guilty of sayin stuff like, "Thats how Lumber did it" or "Kate was that way",enough I'm sure to many people but gosh~dang~it is the truth. Pretty cool to see back down the road along with lookin down the road with both eyes open..

I think it mattered....
