just need to say thanks to all the men that are breeding there top females to gauge we have been very lucky to get them. I started out with a wish list of females I would like to see breed to him and almost everyone has happened . one of the best things is we have breed a female from almost all the bloodlines and he seems to reproduce on all of them. I hear how no one is trying to improve the breed but I do not believe it I have see men put a lot of time and money to make the best cross poss to make the next ones better. when I started back into this i wanted to do the best job I could of raising some of the best blue dogs out there and you men and your females have made it poss. I have been lucky enough to have made some great friends along the way and I hope to make a lot more. I thought today when I looked at the kennel and there was gauge, zeb, ivy alice max and a couple you are going to hear a lot about in the future I think. I just had to stop and think it just dosent get much better but as anyone who knows me knows im always looking and always got some young ones trying to find better. just wanted to say a very very humble thank you joe

Cant go wrong dealing with Joe great guy that will treat you right.I showed a 7 month old gauge pup its first coon yesterday couldn't be more pleased with the pup it trailed and treed solid . Gauge throws lots of natural ability in his pups

Common traits are
1. Intelligence
2. Tree style and power
3. Good looks and build
4. MOUTH
5. usually a very balanced hound.
6. Early starters

I just want to say thanks again for going out of your way in getting Alice bred to Gauge and also for making the trip to get her to Ed's Mauney's so she can once again be on her way back to the kennel. You have gone beyond helping a guy out and I really appreciate it alot! Now I just have to wait for some Gauge and Alice puppies to arrive and have that handy fishin net ready to rock and roll once again!! Thanks,Danny G.

They are growing eating and manufacturing a lot of processed dog food. They are a beautiful looking bunch but unfortunately with the weather here they have not been out of the barn yard.
Got the looks and mouth I was hoping for. They seem to be a bold bunch with limited exposure. That's all I have to report at this time as I have done nothing with them yet.
I plan on posting some pics of them when I can get them out for a walk.

I sent you a package with the $kc litter registration on the guage and robin pups.
Man these guys are lookers and loud. They are growin like weeds and getting into everything. They sure dont lack in the energy.LOL
Cant wait to get them started.
Hope your weather breaks for you. We are just getting warmed up and catching up on hunting. Been a long cold ruff winter for every body.
I was going to go by and see Joe and guage last weekend at the bbcha hunt but my mom has had a series of mini strokes and I couldnt get away. Id like to get over there and take a hunt with robin so Joe could see her go. Probably be back there soon though. Kinda hard to get away from mom but she is doin good and I should be able to take in a hunt next time back.

I have a friend interested in a Tuff (Gauge X Too tuff Betty) female, and I hope he gets her. I'm pretty sure I could get her here for a while to hunt. My best friend told me several times that Tuff is the real deal. Independent, hard going, and had an excellent mouth.

I own ivy she is out of tuff litter and she is nice also. I hunted with the other one one night and she is a nice dog that is a litter that if people had tried they could have prob all finished in the hunts easy

there was ivy, shadow, squirt,tuff,and I think the other one was named stormy. tuff and stormy have never been to the hunts I don't think. chuck coats has won some nice hunts with squirt, I think she is still a nt champ. shadow died a gh. ntch. and ivy lacks one win being a grand I think I am going to get that done this spring. hats off to to tuff betty she was a great reoroducer as well as gauge, I ganded a male out of betty and rattler also his name is zeb.

Blue Ghost White Trash will be bred this weekend if all goes well, she is off Gauge and my Blue Ghost Memphis female, Whitey was born a coon dog and came from a litter of born coon dogs, I'm excited to see what this cross will put on the ground.
Kevin you should come over this spring when the weather breaks, maybe we can get some other bluetickers over and have a Canadian Bluetick days!

Kevin im breeding Whitey to Luke Solmes Duke dog he is out of Bill Hubbard's Sam dog and his Rosey female. Duke is a get gone coon dog thats going to tree a coon and stay alone or together makes no difference and has a big mouth as well.
I'm looking forward to this cross and hoping to find the next generation of Blue Ghost females in it.
