Alot of people lately has been wondering how much worse can things get? Well read the book of revelations and you tell me. Now rememer that after the third chapter the Church has been called up and is no longer here on earth. As a saved person we will not have to endure the tribulations that await our family, friends, and coworkers that are lost. This should bother us as Christians to our very soul to think that we have people we care for that is going to have to endure such torment. We need to be telling people about Christ and his redeeming blood. Brothers and Sisters there is no other way. The above scripture tells us that nobody will be able to escape the wrath of the lamb. The time that John is writing about is an awful awful day but remember all this time people could have came to Jesus and recieved grace but instead the world has chosen to mock him and reject his him. Ask yourself today and be sure that you answer to yourself honestly "HAVE YOU ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR?" If you answer no then you will be one of the men praying for rocks to fall upon you to attempt to hide yourself from the wrath of God. You don't have to face such an awful time all you have to do is ask Christ into your life. Remember to know who Jesus is isn't enough, you must have a personal relationship with Christ and accept him as your Saviour. God bless.

What are some characteristics of the cross that Jesus was hung on? How tall was the cross? How wide was the cross? What did the cross represent? Lets look at how tall the cross was. The cross reaches all the way into heaven, it is the only way that leads there. The cross is so tall that all the world can fit into its shadow and hide behind the cross what the cross represents. We are not worthy of what the cross stands for and represents. All through the ages the cross was a grusome and terrible image and stood for punishment, judgement, and certain death. Christ came and hung on the cross and now it stands for redemption, grace, and love to a lost and dying world. One thing about Jesus is that he will make a change in what ever he touches. When Jesus's blood and flesh touched the cross it was forever changed from what it had represented to a new and wonderful representation of love. And as a born again Christian I can testify that when Jesus touches your heart he will make you change as a person also. Then there is how wide the cross is? The cross reaches from the begining to the end. It streaches from the east to the west and all in between. There isn't any barries that Christ doesn't reach across and offer salvation. Understand that we do not worship the cross but it represents to a Christian that day when the blood of the worthy lamb was shed for all of men's sins. Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Luke 24:2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

Luke 24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

Luke 24:4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

Luke 24:5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

Luke 24:6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

Luke 24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Isn't it wonderful to know that the stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. If you are saved by grace then you know why someone who reads the above verses has something to shout about today. If the above has no meaning to you then I pray that you will accept Christ before it is two late. God bless you and I pray that just like the stone on the tomb rolled away I pray the stone that is hardening your heart will also roll away. Today is the day of salvation.

I got this in an e-mai and thought it was worth sharing.

A young Marine walks into a hospital and ask to see his father.

A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside.

'Your son is here,' she said to the old man.

She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened.

Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the
young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement.

The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed. All
through the night the young Marine sat there in the poorly lighted ward,
holding the old man's hand and offering him words of love and strength.

Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile.


He refused. Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of the other patients.


Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words. The dying man said
nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the night.

Along towards dawn, the old man died.

The Marine released the now lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse. While she did what she had to do, he waited.

Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the
Marine interrupted her.

'Who was that man?' he asked.

The nurse was startled,

'He was your father,' she answered.

'No, he wasn't,' the Marine replied. 'I never saw him before in my life.'

'Then why didn't you say something when I took you to him?'

'I knew right away there had been a mistake,

But I also knew he needed his son, and his Son just wasn't here. When I realized that he was too sick to tell Whether or not I was his son,
knowing how much he needed me, I stayed.'


The next time someone needs you .... Just be there. Stay. What is more Christ like than the story above. I know I am thankful that when we needed a saviour that God sent his only son to pay for my sin, your sin, and the entire worlds sin. God bless and have a wonderful day. I would ask all of you to say an extra prayer or two for a 11 or 12 yr old boy, his name is Chance Legrand and he's been in the hospital fighting for his life for a long while..

Loren prayer has been sent up.

Have you ever thought about what we can mean to one another? What just a few minutes of our time will mean to someone who has fallen ill, or even on the break of death. I went to visit yesterday with another Deacon who I serve with and I can't put into words the way the Lord blesses you after something like this. We went and visited a couple of members from our church that has became bed riden and just are not able to come to church much any more. You know there is so much that we could be doing in this world to show kindness to one another. Let me be the first to say that I do not do what I could be doing to comfort and show christian love to people in our community that is sick and aflected. You know at times when I visit the nursing homes, hospitals, and even homes I feel so unadequate for this peoples needs. I feel like I can talk to someone about thier faith or if they are lost but it isn't easy to talk to someone when they are 89 years old and have been saved for many years and tell you that they are so lonely and feel like they are good for nothing. Just pray for the people that are sick and in nursing homes, hospitals, and shut in thier own homes. I honestly believe that we will have to give an account for why we didn't do more for people described above. God bless

John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

John 4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

John 4:12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

John 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Simple question to ask yourself are you thirsting today?

John 6:22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

John 6:23 (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks

John 6:24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

John 6:25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?

John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign showest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

John 6:31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

John 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

John 6:33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

John 6:34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

The above passage is happening right after Jesus had fed 5,000 men with 5 barely loaves and 2 fishes. It is the next morning and the magnitude of people woke up to see that Jesus and his disciples was gone. The people decided that they would seek after Jesus not to be in his presence but to see if he would feed them again. You see how many of us today are the same way? We are not thankful for all that God has already given us but instead we say "Lord could you bless me just alittle more?" Notice that Jesus wants us to give credit to where it is do. The people wanted to give Moses credit for the manna that was provided in the desert, but Jesus tells them that came from God. Today we are so use to having so many blessings that we fail to give thanks and credit for them. This Thanksgiving let us be truly greatful for the many blessings that we have. There was a woman and man that lost their 11 year old son to a sickness that he was born with. Someone asked them that if they knew he was going to die so young would they have still wanted him to be born? The man replied " I was so thankful for the 11 years that God blessed us to have with him and I wouldn't trade those 11 years for nothing in this world." Remember to be thankful for the many blessings that God has given us and our familys. God bless and if you are lost without Christ I pray that you will ask Jesus into your life before it is to late. Notice again also that Jesus is the bread of life and the everlasting water of life.
