Yadkin that is the reason I started these post. I don't know how we actually classify them either. Someone usually takes a name that they think Impresses and runs with it. lol

You must be older than me. I classified them has House Bred or Finely River Bred.
Then Came Yadkin River Bred
River Bend Bred
Mundo Bred
Gainns Finsher bred
Bean Blossom Buck Bred

I am lost on what to call them. I have a dog that I would love to hang a bloodline name on him but for the life of me I don't see that he fits any of them enough to be called one or the other. Even if I wanted to line breed him I could go in a half dozen directions and not be wrong.

The men hunting them made them. Half them pedigrees back then were not close to being right. If they had one dog with a pedigree they then put a pedigree on a good female and bred it.

We can talk about allot of hounds but Johnson's Banjo can't even begin to get enough credit, seems like he rocked the Walker world, Back in the day i heard old timers say two names that nothing else need be said, One was a man named "Hank" and the other was a hound named "Banjo" no other explanation needed.

Many years ago in a magazine called "Outdoor Life" there was a coon hunting article about Johnson's Banjo. Think that is the water House drank from.

The same Mr. Ellis was part owner on MOJO. Goes back to my question. Does a man make the dog or does the dog make the man. Mr. Ellis made a lot of them. He had the best and dogs History are wrote about from his beginning to his unfortunate departure from this world.

You guys are making me want to trap a coon and see if my pups are scared of one.
