A silent dog has to many advantages in the hunts. 8 want catch em. Running Off game want beat em. Stationary want catch him. Babbling want hurt him he don't babble. But upon saying that I've seen times I would rather hunt against the silent dog before some I've seen. Striking a mouthy dog in thick coon inside the minute knowing they would hit coon before minus hit them. One that barks the whole minute then he has no choice but to strike him it's junk the whole cast has to put up with babblers. One that follows the pack barking non stop every drop. Not all dogs have to put a bunch of mouth on a hot track but enought to know he is running a coon!! Also most dogs running a smoking track are going to sound like a car wreck going through the woods.
