What seems to be the best color for bugs. And for walking? Are all the colors bright enough to have good walking light? Thanks

I like the red for shining eyes but the green is the best for walking. It is brighter than the red or amber.

So the red isn't good for walking or just not as good as the green? Also how is the main light on low for walking? Is the hallow real tight or a little wider? sorry for all questions..

It is just not as good as the green for walking. A lot of people are different but a red light at night messes with my eyes if I try to walk with it. The green does not, but I hunt with the red and 95% of the lights that go out are red. The white light has a very good halo. When your looking down walking its probably 15 feet wide and bright enough on the first click for me to walk with.

Jeff not sure if any light has a led to actually shine the top of a tree..The colors are made when squalling to see a coons eye in the top of a tree..The fourth click on white will pick out detail...ive seen coons eyes in the tallest of pine trees with mine...

You mean the color? Then yes it is and its like that on purpose. Why would you want a color led for shinning eyes to be bright? Think of it like shinning a reflector way off. You can see the reflector but cant see what it is on. I set the light up to cover the whole tree when shining not to be bright at all, but you can pic up eyes in the tallest of trees, you just want be able to make out a body. Thats what the white light is for.

I'm looking a new light but I have a few questions.

Is it 20 oz including the bumpcap?

Is it be red green amber all in one or will we choose between the three?

Is it balanced or front heavy?

Will I need a spot light with this light.

Thanks

Yes sir that includes the weight of the bump cap. I never understood not including the weight of the cap on a bump cap light.

On the basic module it includes one color but we can put all three or a red, green and a flooded white all in the light.

It is as balanced as you can get. You can put your finger in the middle and it want fall forward or backwards.

There is not a spot light that is currently being made that is brighter than the Ultra other than the large Stanley fat max. It is hardly brighter and is bulky.

Let me know if I can help you.

I started using it last spring. At first I wasn't sure how well the complete flood would work, I found out real fast that I liked it. I don't have to move the spot all over the tree to pick up eyes. I bet we don't know how many coons are missed in the summer because he peeked when you were looking somewhere else on the tree. That complete flood eliminates that.If he looks you got him. Most of the time even if he is in the next tree over.

Although I really like the color its the white that is impressive to me. Who would have ever thought that much light could come out of such a small head.

loving the sunfire ultra!!!

made 3 trees tonite and i think all layups, once again was hunting the garmin not the dogs with stupid wind. this sunfire ultra is amazing especially on huge trees. tonight the green was finding eyes great and on bright easy to pinpoint coons even way up. i love it, brightest light ive hunted with and this year ive seen em all in the woods. wish color was little brighter but keep finding coon so cant complain.

another big tree that beavers are trying to knock down. multiple coons.

Great light!! Just got mine. You did another great job! I love my sunfire but the ultra has everything I wanted in a light. I checked out every light at walker days this year and I wasn't sold on any of them.
