I went out tonight for a couple hours after work and my little cur dog finally is catching on! She showed me 3 in the same tree and I shot 2 out to her since it was her first tree with meat in it. I hope it's ok to put a cur dog in with all your good hounds. I've never posted a picture in here before so I hope this works.

Ya it sucks we usually hunt two dogs at a time might have to switch to just one.

Those are some impressive coon Fatboy. The 40 and 34 pounders are monsters. I weighed all of mine and 14 of them were between 29.5 and 31 pounds. I did shoot one that I believe was bigger than 31 but skinned it in the woods because I was so exhausted. Things have slowed down a bit now. Tonight I'll try some new ground. Around what town do u live fatboy? Good luck, kill some more big ones. Joe...

We weighed the bigger one from opening week and it was close to 31lbs. Not sure on the others, we've been getting a work out hauling the darn things back to the truck (landowner doesn't want carcass' left in the woods) The 2 dogs have been working together quite well, the ticks have been a concern as of the last week. Finding them on the dogs as well as ourselves. The last picture was from a spot that I've taken a couple of friends in only a few times. It's a massive section and with the corn still up in there its like a buffet for the coon. Once the snow gets real good its darn nearly impossible to even get in there with a tractor. So we try to hunt it all the way through. We made it 1/4 of the way and got those 5 and neither one of us felt like carrying any more of them back to the truck! Probably should weigh them but oh well, there not monsters but they sure make a "thud" when they hit the ground.

Hey Wi Hounds, the way to post pics on here is first you have to sign up on a web host site like photo bucket. Then upload your pics on to it. Once your pics r on the site than u copy and paste the URL from the pic u like and paste it to the forum. It's not hard once u do it a few times. There r directions somewhere on ukc forums someplace. Goodluck... Joe

.22 LR hollow points. Try to hit them in the brain. Some I"ve shot 3 times in the head and that will just knock them down and piss them off. That's why I carry a Billy club with me. The big ones are very tough. Joe..

I got the itch to get back out last night as lately I've been leaving the dog tied up at night so I can get to bed at a decent time to get in the tree stand in the morning. He sure was fired up to get back out there. I was fired up to hear the "thuds". Can't wait for all of this deer nonsense to be over with...
