There are still alot of places in this country where in 2 hours an average cast of dogs will score on 4 or 5 coon and at the end of the night you know who is leading the dog that can get parked under a coon faster than the rest.

Your point is a valid one but I personally like the way it's done now. It seems fair to everyone. Sometimes it's held in thick coon areas and sometimes it's in thin coon areas.

It doesn't really matter where it's held people are always going to complain. I've read a lot of posts in the past where guys were saying the scores couldn't be legit bc they were too high, people from area where coon are scarce saying the hot nosed dogs couldn't win there bc they don't have the go to get as deep as necessary. They guys from heavy coon pop areas saying the dogs from south couldn't win in heavy coon areas bc they'd waste too much time blowing out of the country and would pass coon, etc.

There's no way UKC can or will ever make everyone happy but I think they try to do the best they can.

I clicked the link and I'm not sure what the deal is but there must be some sort of malfunction because they had 101 confirm at Baton Rouge last year. They always get the full draw which just goes to confirm what I said earlier, those guys would go to China if that's where they put it.

I always look and see where the finals are going before I even think about entering rhe RQE's. I know I can't afford it if it is way north.

Lol. I was just going off what the kennel club had posted...

Like what was said above, I didn't even bother running any RQE's last year simply because of the travel and lack of coons.
