I guess i look at this accuracy thing different than alot of guys. Maybe its because i have a good coon population.Give me a 70% accurate dog that comes treed right, fast and hard and never moves off the bark, one that i can call on that first screamin locate and know that dog will be there come hell or high water.

And its not just a competition thing either, I have hunted with a few of those real accurate dogs, 90%+ and all the ones iv seen were so slow to settle that you could freeze to death waiting for them to decide there wasnt anymore track to run. At the end of the night if my 7o% dog makes 7 trees and has 5 coon and old accurate dicks around and makes 4 trees with 4 coon i still got more hides on the tailgate.

One other thing to consider, coon ofter move in bunches and those super accurate dogs usually get treed with the last coon to climb. That 70% wood monster dog has the first one up.

Well like I said 70% is dead at my place. The two dogs I'm still hunting don't boo hoo around a tap trees they hit a tree right and the coon is there. Recast and tree sometime within sight of the other tree. The male al I do with him anymore is rig him and how every fast your going he barks stop the truck and get the gun. The female has to be roaded or free castes because she don't rig.
