HOBO

I have 2 herniated discs in my lower back and did the mri's and went to the neurosurgeon and he told me that yes he could fix the problem and in about a year I would be in the same shape i'm in now. So i'm doing the chiropractor route and it is helping. After the adjustments I use the inversion table and hang like a bat for several mins and since i have been doing that along with the adjustments my back is feeling better not great but tolerable.

You guys need to ask your chiro if they know of the disc decompression table? Mine uses them, they put a harness on you and lay you on the table and hook a cable to the harness then set it up to where it applies a certain amount of pull on you. Its kinda like the inversion table only better.

I blew out L4-5 disc. Suffered and argued with doctors for 6 months. Right leg and hip would catch fire and feel like my toes were going to explode. My leg would go numb and if not careful if fall on my face. They finally took pictures of my hip and sent me to a hip dr for surgery, after his MRI he refused to do surgery cause both of my femurs were shaped the same. He sent me to a back dr and I went through a microdiscsectomy. They made a cut and in lower back and trimmed the disc off of my sciatic nerve. It went great but I didn't follow the rules of rehab and went back to work too soon. I felt good and thought I could handle it, a sack of feed sent me back home for a week in the bed. Surgery can work but you have got to follow the drs orders. Second opinions are a good idea. It's been two years now and all I need is Advil in the am sometimes it gets sore but nothing like before. Good luck to everyone with back problems.
