yeah he sure did, check out the post [ little hicks rusty blood ] and you can see there mother and uncle . these pups have got it in there veins. just got a update on one of the pups out of this litter and it is a bug eyed tree dog on those squirrels already and he said it had a bigger mouth than anything on his place already. 4 months old and that natural ability is already coming out. jabo was a super nice dog, shame he didn't get to make a huge mark on this breed.

Tough night last night.

First drop he hunted out 1.2miles before I had to drive around and pick him up.

Second drop he ended up striking two tracks but didn't finish either to tree. Oh well though, just comes with hunting a young dog. Still proud of the way he hunted out.

Sabrina. Thanks for the Christmas wishes, and a Merry Christmas from the Wiley family to all of yours.

It has been crazy here as well. I've been so busy between the Army, my family, and huntin this young Jabo pup that I haven't seen myself in the mirror. lol

I'll give you a call this weekend to do some catching up.

Had a good hunt with John Walker and his boys. We cut the dogs loose down in the bottoms and they went 0.63miles, cleared the WMA and got hooked with the meat not 200yards away form a mans house. We drove around, collected dogs and decided to try again.

The second cast we set them loose from the very end of the WMA. They struck another track and carried it out of the WMA and treed him in front of the very same house. lol. This tree was nasty up top with vines and nests, so that one I have no clue if they had the meat.

Jack was hooked both times and the old man Duke looked like a 4year old dog again. =)

Thanks to John Walker to coming down and bringing his boys to hunt. Me and my son had a great time.

As always I had a great time at Larry Stringer's place. Jonathan Christmas came with me and we had a grand time. As always Larry's and Dora's hospitality was 2nd to none.

It was a tough night of hunting for the young dogs. There wasn't much moving at all, and what was seemed to put the Houdini on the 13month old pups. We cast the first time and they hunted out and ran an old cold track until they just couldn't figure it out. Before they took to the hills again we gathered them up and cast again. They ran a really nice cold track, but never could put an end to it. The third drop They struck in and moved the track up into some pine trees and fell treed. There were several nests that we didn't shoot into in the pine and a possum was up a tree about 2 or 3 trees over. (so I'm not sure if they just got him up or they treed the heck out of him.....either way they were hooked and hooked good)

Jonathan Christmas is the newest initiate to the Jabo pup family with Midnight Moon Hillbilly Jim. Here are some pictures from this weekend.

It was a short but good night.

1st drop Jack cam around and started off onto some land that I don't have permission to hunt so I had to call him in.

2nd drop Jack ran a good track, but it was headed straight for the main road and I had seen plenty of traffic so I pulled the truck around and cut him off at the road. Over all it was a good night, if I didn't have to be up at 0430 I would still be in the woods. =/

looking dogs. If I didnt have a Jabo pup I'd be jealous. These pups mature early dont they. I'm gonna try and have to find a half sister to Chief. I'm off tonite due to the fact its my 25th wedding anniversary. The pups are upset I think. lol But I had a good time with my better half. I dont know how she put up with me this long. Had a good night in the timber with Jack.

He went on and hunted out for about 25minutes before he struck in. When he did strike it was a good track and he put an end to it quick.

He located three times in a row which confused the heck out of me and it sounded like it confused him too. Once he settled down I went on in to him and started to shine up. He had a family of coons up, he had the sow and a kitten in the big tree, and two other kittens were in trees off to the sides. I put some fur to him and called it a night.

I didn't get a picture worth a darn as I left the camera at the house....and my phone didn't do a good job tonight...oh well.
