No but I grew up on Cass Walker ads. Any man who could hunt 40 dogs and describe them just as they are was my hero. And still have enough time left over to invent SuperDerm.

I remember them, they were some kind of Lookers, used to just stare at their pictures and Drool.

Smokin
In the late 70s I drove to Duane Cassels house, 19 hrs one way, to pick up a young hound out of Woodpecker.
Mr.Cassel was a fine gentleman.

Yes Sir, thanks for the nice comment. Have a lot more to put up but hopefully people will be able to use it to do research if they are interested in the history of the past. I am working on another site which hopefully will have things organized a little better when I am finished.

I don't need a history lesson I know where the breeds come from. My post was in reference to tennessee Lead. Some on here would like to see him cloned. He was not one of the great coondogs he was a stolen fox hound that would have been shot if he would of ever stopped to get treed. He was the fountain head of a stain of fox hounds that carried the walker name. Not the same as the walker dogs we hunt today.

at least 1 major out cross was made in the 19th centry
that was to forever influence the breed strangely the cross
was with a stole dog from tenn.of UNKOWN ORIGIN,
known as tenn. lead.

And? Why would we want to see him cloned? He was a fox hound and a producer of fox hounds.
