Then to top it off , when I'm ready to load them up to come home, they have done run full flat out for acouple hours in the marsh. They are soaking wet and covered up in marsh mud. It is now 16 degrees . I ,myself think them dogs know full well after years of the same olde, same ole, that they are faceing a 20 minute ride at 50 miles per hour to get home. ( wind chill factor for those of you what aint got a clue) . Now my question is? Why would they not go on a Union strike? and refuse to load up?. Becaaause the same reason is {I wanted} {they wanted}We work together, my dogs and me. It is not like a Union trying to start some sh--. with a partner. ( Partner?) don't get me started on the Feds Partners program , put in place to put the Union , meetoo dogs back) ( that did Not Back good enough to suit them) in there rightful Backdog Place) place. Sidetracked again , but you liberals and Union followtails , may one day have to answer My Question that I, L.Lyle asked you, straight out. Answer this( don't duck it and get yo Onion boss reply) . You answer it in your own head. Why would my dogs be so ready to follow me and me be so anxious to follow my dogs? Now answer that. I'm edited before this hits the post but I am already preparefdwith backup so be prepared editor.

I am sure bringing the dog in at say 7pm when it is 12 degrees and then taking it back out at midnite when it is 5 degrees would be pretty stupid but who in their right mind would do that?
Does anyone on here agree with him?
I know of 7 puppies, one mama dog, one 5 year old beardog, one 10 year old walker, and one three month old dog that has died in the past five days and I do not think that this is a coincidence! The folks whom these dogs belong to will go to their graves swearing there is no way these dogs froze to death because of the quality of their houses and bedding!
As for me, I am not taking a chance!

Well, after doing a re-read and assessment of what was asked, I have concluded that it was not "The MOST SILLIEST thing I have ever heard" or even silly at all if you think about it....but I think I probably would do the same thing you did considering the circumstances. No, I do not think you will kill your dog doing what you are suggesting but if you let your imagination wander a bit and consider keeping him in the house at night and next morning take him out to spend the day chained to a tree with no protection from the cold, wind, sleet and snow...then that would kill a dog I would think. This might be the picture that person got from hearing that statement.

You Know of 11 dogs that have died locally in the last 5 days? Man, I don`t know of 11 dogs that have died this year (2010). You must know alot of people or only know the ones that treat their dogs terrible!

I do not think brining a dog in a a few days during the Winter will prevent them from getting their Winter coat.
It was "unseasonably cold" about four nights last week and that was when mine came in.

You are misreading my post, I think. Notice that there were 7 puppies and one mama dog! If you are counting this as 8 different dog owners, you would be very mistaken!

Follow your instincts-I have heard too many stories about finding the mother and puppies frozen in a dog box. bring your dogs in , put them in an exersise pen or large crate type situation where there is heat and keep the pups warm-you can even buy a heat lamp or puppy heating pad.

If you are giving me the advice, they were not my dogs. I would have brought them in if they were mine!
