Mel.. I have a road map of Garmin Products.. Shows DC30 EOL December. EOL means End of Life..

I don't know where the Oct date Comes from... But official Garmin date as of a couple months ago was December.

I'm hoping they change their minds..

Sowa, I like that guy! We were hunting Cats up on Hood Last year with him, and Someone Shot his dog.. Man Sad day.. you can learn allot about a Man in situations like that.. I always thought he was a hard ass, But he is a really really Good Guy.. We caught the SOB that shot his dog, and Every Single Penny that guy gave larry Went to The Clubs... Really selfless class act type of guy....

I enjoy hanging out with those old guys.. Just shut up and listen..

I'll be hammering some more on the DC40 this weekend.. We'll see how it does in some Actual hunting conditions, Hard to get a track Going in this Heat but hopefully I'll catch a break and get lucky...

Tom I knew you were going to call me a liar.. so I had to make a video just for you..

Actually, It's not for you I made the video before I seen your last post.. seams like I'm pissing allot of people off so I wanted you to see for yourself.

Summary, I didn't see anything conclusive to show any pro or Con for the DC40. My conclusion is they are the Exact same range.. But I incourage you to Watch the video and Make your own mind up.

That guy did a stupid stupid thing on the mountain that day. It was a Trapper and in an instant he made a dumb decision.. Probably lucky for us that we didn't catch him up there, but we found a Brand on his trap line and got it handled.

THAT IS PROOF ENOUGH FOR ME. GOOD TEST, THE TEST I MADE WAS DONE WITH THE EXTENDABLE FOLD UP ANT. ALL THE WAY OUT LAYING IN THE SET OF MY YOTA , BOTH TIMES I DID IT THE 40 GOT ABOUT 3 TENTHS MORE THAN BOTH OF MY 30'S, BUT I BELIEVE AT ANY GIVEN TIME THAT MIGHT VERY WELL CHANGE..DID YOU SEE ANY DIFFERENCE IN SATILTE RECEPTION BETWEEN THE 30 & 40S...?? ...I DID'NT.......

I didn't test the Satelite Reception on that test. All the collars were mounted and the same not moving with clear view of the sky, all had 100 satelite,

I'll be honest I was really expecting the DC40 to get longer Range after Reading some of the Posts... I was really surprized when I got 6 miles out of them all.. Wish I could see that Consistantly..

Heading out the door now.. Hopefully I can get a Track started.

so i guess we need to start hunting taller dogs. as the signal is better the higher it is. and walkers that run with their head up should keep signal longer than booticks as their nose is always on the ground.

Tom, I just had my First Actual Hunt test.. And It so happens the DC40 Beat the Beep Beep collar.. (BTW, There's a Photo of Herb's Grandson)

But was really disappointed again. DC40 did not sync up for 2.5 hours.. I had to take the collar off the dog and Point it to the Sky to get it ready to start hunting... I turned it off and on Three times trying to reset it..

Tom Will do, It will be evening before I get back in. I want to chat and hear what yours is doing? You seam very happy with it...
Mine has been nothing but problems with the GPS signal. I had 20 on order, I dropped it down to as they were shipping to 2 units they should arrive Next week.. Luckily I haven't sold a single collar.. I ask each customer to read the Reviews online (Not just mine) and Let me know what they want to do.

I really don't want to deal with returns.. But I have a Guy in Sweden that want's 4 of them regardless of the Reviews...
