You can single redgester her and hunt her in UKC OR PKC. Don't cost much and sounds like you might win some money with her.

Well I didn't know that was an option, or I would have already done it.I guess I gonna do some research on it and see what I got to do to get her single registered. I've always wanted to see whatshe up against good seasoned dogs. She is pretty fast.thanks for telling me that because I had no idea that you can register a mixed dog. She is walker and american bluetick, but all coonhound.

full life

i always shoot a coon in the rear to start the season to get him to drop and let my hounds kill it. if they cant kill a coon they dont stay in my kennel! when the season wears on and i want to harvest hides i try to head shoot them to make it faster and move on. i dont let pups in on full life coon till the its about dead, i bring the young on slow to get them confident in killing. i catch 10 - 15 coon a year on the ground and my hounds need to know how to handle there business, i want a dog that will fight to the death, if not then stay home.

I always try to leash my dogs up when I get to the tree if possible so you have them under control & if you shoot a coon out to them, you either cut one loose or walk him over to the coon when the coon hits the ground. Charlie Radtke

I always try the shoot the coon in the head but I think we all know its not always the easiest thing to do. My hounds both can easily stretch one if they catch it which usually happens 10 times or so when the corns still up but id never purposely just shoot one in the ass so it falls out alive.

I always try to kill the coon. dont want the dogs getting torn up. The dogs do have to be gritty enough to handle a live coon if the catch it on the ground though. Vet bills can get very expensive if the dogs get torn up.
