This is May Flower on the left and I Love Lucy on the right. The 2 Nt Ch wins we picked up on Lucy last weekend were nice. I have had her at the Vet. and look forward to some real good things from her once see is healthy and settled in completely.

Keep up the good work!

I am still very partial to the cross my old Bess was from. (CW x Bess II) I see you have a lot of that in these dogs. They sure look good on the wood and the pics remind me of my old Bess.

Someday I may have another great female and she may be out of your dogs. Glad to see you keeping the line going.

Now I'm getting the chance to be involved with a very special one from his last litter. I have personally said thank you to everyone who is making this happen and I now say thank you again here. I do appreciate this opportunity. This not only looks good on paper. It fits in real nice with the natural order with me, this line of dogs and in the woods. After all-we don't hunt on paper-do we.

Jet 7 was almost identical to my old Bess female. So much so I could have called him in a hunt without having ever hunted with him.

So fill me in on this very special female you are now involved with.

Jet 7 Female

As previously stated I feel very fortunate in getting the opportunity to make this cross. Jet 7 only produced 27 pups. This female is from his last litter. She has a 1st and a 2nd place in UKC and is now a Grand Show Ch. Nice blocky head, short coupled and put up well on her feet, She is also very dark ticked with a deep, coarse mouth. She has some nice pups from previous crosses. Rejet has been bred to her and I should be able to tell if she caught pretty soon. Spoke with Scott Phillips in Michigan and he may have a pup or two to sell from Rejet and Ch Nt Ch Wild N Blue Hooker. Nt Ch Tree Smokin Midnight Madness will be bred to Rejet, as will Nt Ch Snyder's I Love Lucy (Gr Ch Nt Ch Blue Bio 6 Again's Big Boy xBlue Bio Terri Tooker-littermate to Rejet) and Blue Bio Boomer's Lady (Gr Nt Ch Tucker's Blue Boomer x Nt Ch Mead's Blue Lady II-6 Again x Treeslammin Lady) Some from these litters will be headed North to Ed, Scott and Terry if he wishes. They can get all they want as long as they don't call them CW lol! There are some outside Jet bred females intending to breed to him also. Thanks for your questions.

My internet service went haywire last Friday, they got it fixed today. Got to hunt with Rance Winn this past weekend, sure was good to see him again and I do enjoy his post and comments on this Bluetick board-he stirs the pot a little bit at times-great guy. Also enjoying phone calls from many of you around our coonhunting bluetick world. Here is a photo of Bobby Carter and Lucy after one of her wins. Lucy picked up another night champion win this weekend-it wasn't pretty but neither were the conditions that night-still counts the same. A Walker guy in the cast made a remark about that "Old Bluetick" to which I replied "Sir-She ain't old, she's just 2!"

That picture and the pups look about as close to my Jet V litters out of Bess and Inga as any pups/pictures I have seen. In fact I would swear that one of them on the right could pass for the Night Train pup.

Congrats on a great set of pups.

Scott-thanks for posting the video of the pups. Tell Ed this litter is just way to dark to suite him. I check Maddy every day to see if she is coming in heat. Heck there are females here to be hunted and/or bred from Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina and Kentucky. Sure Rejet is thinking "Make my day!" From March 14th to April 12th I Love Lucy won 4 night champion wins. Not any kind of a record but not to bad either. Picked up the 4th this weekend hunting against some nice Walker dogs. When we cast the dogs they were burning up a good running track-took it under an old WPA bridge, through a beaver pond and came on the wood real good as well. When we got close it was clear that Lucy was split treed from the others. I found their coon for them and then found Lucy's-hers was sure looking pretty on a night when the moon was so bright. We moved and cast again with the other dogs taking off and Lucy coming back and treeing. I found hers and turned back into them and got part of the last tree. We saw 5 and treed 4. Helped make up for not being able to attend the Reunion.

CW

Nice to see a good colored female like her. I noticed the Junior Dog
( off Jet 6 Again ) is producing Salt and Pepper colored pups from every litter. I don't see this trait with any male dogs today. I liked Jet 7 a lot better than Jet 8. It seems all the nice ones are unlucky and don't get the chance to reproduce enough pups.

I have changed over the years and just got hooked on females only.
I do not have much interest in a male dog any more. I would rather have a good female over a great male any day.

Woke up early this morning to experience and appreciate this sunrise. Had a dog get out a couple days ago and was able to get my hands on her yesterday morning-big sigh of relief. Truth-there is a lot of similarities in several of these dogs from various litters, not only in looks but in actions. I was at a hunt recently when a Walker man pulled a Blue dog out of his dog box. I took a good long look and then ask him what he was out of. The dog was out of John's Buzzard and Penny. Kevin ICB-you will just have to ask Ed or Terry about what they were talking about. We are under water down here-swamps flooded. Had a good short visit with Clyde Murphy and Curtis Todd at a hunt in Gray, Ga. yesterday. Curtis had Joleen with him and I understand they won 1st last night to make the Whip dog a Nt Ch. Rance-I would like to know more about your Grand pup from the CW dog. Terry-Ed has kept me up to date on the snow you guys have gotten this year-sounds similar to the amount of rain we are still getting. No complaints-best day of my life so far, best to you as well!

Our time for the Storms today here in Georgia. Possibility of more later tonight. I have kept hounds out here as far back as the early 70,s. Today was the closest I have came to a problem from a storm, at least where the dogs are concerned. My prayers go out to everyone affected all over the country-in this way we are all connected.

Gator

Decided to wet a hook early this morning. I fish at the same places that I hunt. Started to grab the 22 but picked up my tally ho stick to kill snakes with. Made my way in to the slough near the creek and there on the bank, right out in the open was the Gator that I have been after. Knew I should have brought the rifle. This Gator looked better than half grown to me-heck the longer I looked the bigger it looked. This one is sorted shy cause it took off in the water towards the Creek-gold medal swimmers can't swim that fast. I caught Bluegill, Redeye, Warmouth and Catfish. Would feel a whole lot better if I had got that Gator. The Gator is just like the Snakes-take care of them now and I don't have to deal with that one again later. I have been around them a lot in my life starting with South Georgia, then South Carolina while in the Marine Corps, East Texas and Louisiana while living out there and now more and more often right here in Middle Georgia. In more ways than one, just call me a Gator Hater!

Text and Video

Steve Cleary sent me a text-"Struck run and treed his first coon tonight" Steve's 7 month old pup had treed a squirrel and treed a released coon prior to treeing a coon at night by himself. dob 10/26/2013. He also sent me a video of the pup-now I need to figure out how to post it. The pup is from Rejet and Blue Bio Big Boy's Lady. The Delta female, who is down here and a littermate to the Hope female, is in heat and her owner wants her bred to Rejet. I am glad to get this cross made based on the results of the success of the crosses of Rejet to Hope. Each cross is different but these will have identical dogs in the pedigrees. Looks good on paper-but as we know they do not hunt on paper. Congrats to David and Travis Thomas on their Nt Ch win last night with Bo and on the arrival of their new litter of pups from their Maggie female and Logan.
