Gas is down to $3.59. I got it for $3.49 yesterday. It is coming down. I don't think it is down with the price of a barrel of oil though.

It is 58 degrees here this morning. I wish it would stay like this rest of the summer.

It was so cool today I barely broke a sweat. Went to Effingham twice today---Seen the Gut man this mornin', or he seen me first, gave a big howdy. Weather says it will be like this all week. Anyone go after the tree rats today? You goin' huntin' tonite Mike? Did you do any fishin' Spotty?

Mike we need an accurate report on the hunt ---only accurate will do on this thread. Bob went to sale barn yesterday and found "Linda" a nubian doe--she will be able to milk this one ,she's as gentle as a dog, you can leed her even. We'll be drinkin' goat milk and eatin' it too--not a baaaaad set up.

Morning guys. Well we turned loose at 8:55PM. Dogs went in about 175yards and struck. Roxie struck the Lacey. We turned loose on the edge of a corn field. We had a short race and Roxie located and Lacey right behind her. Started walking toward them and the dogs were begging for us to hurry up. Finally got there and Jason said here he is. He stop looking and we started blowing our coon squallers. My niece was with us and she was looking to. Finally we could not get the coon to look again. My niece moved right under the tree and hollered at me told me here is the coon. We went were she was and sure enough she had the coon out in the wide open. First coon she had ever found while hunting with us. She was excited. We lead the dogs away about 10 yards and cut them loose again. The went in there about 365 yards and opened up. Next time I heard Lacey she had located and Roxie was treeing to. This time I stayed at the edge of the field and they went in and got the dogs. This time they had two coons up in the same tree right on the edge of the Little Muddy River. They got back to us and I decided I had enough for one night. We got back to the truck and Jason left in his truck and I took my niece home and headed home. End of accurate report. It is 58 degrees and I had a terribly night. My sugar dropped down to 36 and I was in bad trouble. Finally about 1:00AM we got it to come up and I went to bed. Don't feel good but I am alive.

Mikes Sugar

That is dangerous low Mike, maybe you overdid it yesterday. Did you get your insulin on time? Check your blood sugars ect.

I to am a diabetic and know that this is a very dangerous level. Please take care.

Jeff A.

Thanks Jeff. I check my sugar 4 times a day. I know one thing I am still worn out from last night going through that. Takes a toll on your body.

When Jeff and myself hunt we take breaks, my not be a bad idea for you also. Our hounds do a lot of checkin' in to us if they don't find a track, the thing we like is they don't blow in real deep--had an english dog when I was younger he'd travel---not my idea of a good time anymore. Sounds like yours done fine---just you my have over done it just a bit. Ease into it then speed up a little at a time---VERY accurate hunt report you did a fine job---PAST the test you are qualified to report on here now.
