For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

How many of us today are putting our priorities in order? How many of us are making little sacrificies compared to what Jesus did for us? Ask yourself the question in which Jesus posed so many years ago "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" I see it all the time where I work people while put their careers before God, family, church, etc. but what will they have gained in the end? Let us make time for God. We cannot expect God to get on our schedule instead we have to get on God's schedule. What is a man's soul worth? I don't know exactly but I know it was worth everything to Jesus. How many of us could lay down our own lifes for strangers? I just ask you to read the verse carefully and I don't care if you are saved or lost as a needle in a haystack. But the main thing is be truthful to yourself and ask yourself the question. Now if you are lost I can promise you one thing that when you die you will be in hell. Now you don't have to go to hell and God doesn't want you to go, but the choice is yours to make. Ask Jesus into your life and see what a difference he will make. And to all my brothers and sisters in Christ keep spreading the gospel and be a witness for Jesus. God bless.

Mark 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Mark 10:19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

Mark 10:20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Mark 10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Mark 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

Read the above scripture careful and what comes to mind? Notice that the person who came to Jesus was young, rich, and he was religious. The person was more religious than any of us I would dare to say. Notice that the young man had great possessions in his life. Does this not sound like a life that many of us dream of having? Notice that the young man had something missing in his life that possessions could not buy and nor fill that void in his life. Many of us today have this same void and people search everywhere to attempt to fill this need. I gurantee you that Wal-Mart doesn't have it, bass pro doesn't stock it, and you want find it on the classified section on your favorite website. The same answer the young man was searching for is the same answer to this problem today and that is JESUS. Notice that Jesus immediately directed the young man's mind set to be on God. What is anything in this world without our Father in heaven? We are nothing without him and there would be nothing without him and we owe all we have to him, Praise God for that. Notice that Jesus loved the young man. Jesus didn't turn him away for being rich but rather the young man turned from Jesus because of his riches. How many of us today are guilty of this, we have plenty of excuses and if we don't have enough on our own I gurantee the world will help us find more reasons to turn away from Jesus. Now Jesus didn't tell the young man that he could not enter into heaven, but the young couldn't part with the worldly items that he had. Being rich and having money isn't a sin, but when you let the money and riches be ruler in your life then it is a sin. The last thing that I want to talk about is how the young man came to Jesus. He came running and kneeled at Jesus. Now I don't know about any of you but when you are running and kneel it is more like falling our at least I believe the young man just fell his knees at Jesus's feet. Today we need to go to Jesus the same way. We need to run to him and just fall own our knees at his feet. I have heard people say well I don't know how to find Jesus, let me tell you something when you run to Jesus and fall at his feet on your knees you'll find him. Jesus is going to love you just like he loved this young man no matter what. Let me summarize something for you. Just like Jesus tells the young man to sell all that he has so to will you have to sell out of Jesus. You must sell out for Jesus, he will not be second in your life to anything, person, or place. God bless and be in prayer about the elections.

How many of us are busy attempting to make our barns bigger because we are looking down an uncertain path full of worldly goods. This week I have given some thought to what a person is working towards if the only thing we are aquiring are worldly goods for our work. Isn't it wonderful to have the many blessings that we have in our great country. But what is it all worth to you today if the good Lord calls you home right now. You can have all the money and gold in the world but if you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal saviour you are lost and your life has been pointless and you have a furture of suffering. You know I look forward everyday to just looking on here and seeing what has been posted or maybe one of the post has made someone come to know Jesus as thier saviour or even just make them ask some personal questions. There is nothing more important in this world that we as Christians should be doing then spreading the word and the gospel of Jesus Christ. You know it isn't easy all the time telling about Jesus, and Jesus never said it would be easy but I know it is important for us to do so. If you read the scripture in your bible alittle further it tells us to lay up treasures in heaven. I honestly believe that one of the greatest treasures that will await us will be when we plant the spiritual seeds of Jesus and that person then comes to know Christ as their saviour. Just think about this over the weekend that our time here is short and all the things of this world will pass with time. BUt your eternal home is waiting either good or bad. Now Jesus is the only way and there is no other way to get to heaven. GOd bless and have a wonderful weekend.

AMEN!AMEN!AND AMEN! again. It tickles me pink to see people spreading the word of God. I wish that people that are not serious or just dont know the best gift of all, would just realize that the end is getting closer and closer and when it gets here thats it. Sometimes I think how would it be it Jesus was ashamed of me. I have been in the situation before when I have a chance to share the word with someone and then that dang ole devil gets me and says you are gonna embarass yourself dont do that and being a sinner by nature I have chickend out. I am just thankful the good Lord didn't skip out on me. He gave his life for me and for that I am thankful and hope that through him I can spread the news and tell others what he did for them and me. If only this nation would think like some of us we would not be in the shape we are in today. Pray for this country and the leaders we desperately need.

Mr. RiverbottomRon,

I would like to share something the good Lord has laid on my heart and I hope it touches someone. I strived to live a christian life and thought I was doing pretty good there for a while but, I had some things that I let block my view of the Lord and I went the other way at the same time knowing what I should be doing instead. Well the good Lord blessed me with a good wife and a year later gave me the most beautiful baby boy a man could ask for. My folks asked to keep the baby while my wife and I went to one of my stinking ole softball tournaments and we agreed. After we played ball all day we left the ball fields and didnt get a mile or two and a woman hit us head on totalling out both vehicles as we lay there in the pouring rain and bumps and bruises hearing the woman crying in pain and fear the good Lord talked to me. He did something my dad use to do me for being a brat, he popped me upside the gord ( head ) and said "SON, I COULD HAVE TAKEN YOUR WIFE, I COULD HAVE TAKEN YOU, OR THAT BABY BOY COULD HAVE BEEN IN THIS TRUCK AND I COULD HAVE TAKEN HIM. NOW YOU HAVE HAD PLENTY CHANCES TO GET RIGHT AND YOU HAVE BEEN PUTTING THEM OFF WELL IF YOU DON'T STAND UP AND ACT RIGHT AND GET YOU AND YOUR NEW FAMILY IN CHURCH WHERE YOU BELONG THAN NEXT TIME INSTEAD OF A LIL POP ON THE HEAD I AM GONNA TEAR U UP." Well needless to say while I was laid in that hospital bed I told my wife and my mom if I live till sunday my whole family will be in church. You know the Lord does work in strange and mysterious ways and I thank him for that and I hope this will help someone realize that the Lord does love us and he loves us enough to discipline us and teach us right from wrong.
How many times would we chase after someone and beg them to love us or be our friend? Not many, we may show them some friendly gestures if they dont respond than oh well we find someone else. Well the good Lord don't work that way he never gives up on us and that is more than a best friend will ever do. The Lord keeps blessing us and protecting us and he keeps loving us no matter the circumstances.

the other woman had some broken bones but my wife and I were just bruised up a bit.

Psa 118:3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Psa 118:4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Psa 118:5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.

Psa 118:6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Psa 118:7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

Psa 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Read the above scripture and be not fearful. God loved us so much that he showed us mercy by sending Jesus to die on a cross. How many of us could co that? It is election day and alot of people are uncertain on the path our country is headed down. Don't be fearful for the Lord will lead us and will always take care of us. What can a man do unto us? Understand that the Lord takes our part. And especially read the last part of the verse. IT IS BETTER TO TRUST IN THE LORD THAN TO PUT CONFIDENCE IN MAN. Remember that and no matter how the election turns out keep your trust in the Lord. God bless and GET OUT AND VOTE.

when ever I start to feeling the blues I aways remember what my grandpa said the world is what the world is because GOD lets it be the way it is!!

so I thank GOD for every day I'm alive and thankful for being able to enjoy each and every day here on earth because it truly is a blessing to be alive..

if ya put your trouble and problems in the good lords hands it makes life a joy to live every day..

Well we have us a new president elect to be. Now let us move forward and be deep in prayer for him and all our new leaders. Isn't it wonderful that God has blessed us so much to live in such a great country. I was witnessing to a young man today and he was very confussed about what a Christians was and should do in daily life. Now I have been trying to speak alot more to people lately about Jesus and it is getting alot easier to do. Let us all be about spreading the message of Jesus into every place we go. The young man I mentioned earlier says he was raised in Church but still wonders how we as Christians know that Jesus is the only way. He even called over one of his muslim friends to try and strengthen his view. God gave me the words to say and I blieve that now even the muslim is wondering about his faith and will hopefully see that Jesus is the only way before it is to late.

BEGINS TO SEW SEED IS A MERE FARMER. HE WHO CONTINUES TO SEW SEED WITH A PURPOSE THEN BECOMES A SEWER OF SEED.

HOW DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE? LOOK BACK AT PATRICK'S POST AND RELATE. IT BECOMES EASIER FOR US TO OVERCOME A CERTAIN FEAT THE MORE WE DO IT. TALKING TO OTHERS ABOUT JESUS BECOMES EASIER BECAUSE WE OBTAIN COMFORT AND ACHIEVEMENT THE MORE WE DO IT. THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ! OTHERS WILL SEE THE GLOW OF JESUS CHRIST IN OUR HEARTS AND EYES AND ACTIONS. ALLOW ALL WHO POST AND PARTICIPATE CONTINUE TO BLESS OTHERS THROUGH THEIR EFFORTS AND MAY WE ALL CONTINUE TO STRIVE TO BE " THE SEWERS OF SEED AND FISHERS OF MEN." GOD BLESS.

Luke 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

Luke 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

Luke 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Luke 21:16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

Luke 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

Let me give you alittle background on the above scripture. Jesus is telling of the end times and what will take place. In the above scripture he tells his disciples that the world is going to turn to Christians for a testimony and that we should not be slow to give an account for Jesus. He doesn't want us to tell someone "What a minute and let me think about that and I will get back with you". As Christians when someone ask a question about Christ let us not put them off as the spirit might not convict their hearts the next time we see them to give an answer that we have thought upon. I believe with all might heart that Jesus is wanting his church to move in a special way in this world at this very time in history. I don't believe it is going to last much longer and that Jesus wants us to be working planting seeds into people's hearts. I have been building a log home since June and it is really going to be nice. But you know what I have a mansion waiting on me and it wont be built by man's hands. What a wonderful day awaits us Christians when our saviour is seen coming in the clouds. Now getting back to the above scripture be confident when you speak with someone about Jesus for he tells us that he will give us wisdom and the words to speak. I mean he made everything you see, do you think he can't give us the words to say? Now he tells us that we are going to encounter some rough times for his names sake. But he will be with us during the rough times just like he is with the good times. Be cheerful today as God has blessed you with another day and lets be about his business today. Also be in prayer for a lady that has been told she has stage 4 lung cancer. She came to the church last Sunday and I believe she plains on being there again this Sunday. There is a benefit being held for her this Saturday so be in prayer for it also. God bless and let us start to speak boldly for Jesus.
