Jordan - The coon was a little red / orange, probably from staying in the ground some I would say, some say they get that way if they have been laying in a den for a long time too. I don't know either way, around my neck of the woods we have a lot of sulfur creek from old strip mines so if we get a ground coon to go up they are usually a funky color.
