I'd say it was well worth the wait. I have a feeling that by this time next year, 3 or 4 of them will be doing good if given the chance. Cummins is liable to be granded out by then if he keeps on his same path lol.

I am definitely not ruling out making our cross again in the future. We are loving what we are seeing out of Cummins. It's nice to take a 13 month old right by himself and watch him hunt hard, track and tree night in and night out. I'd say we done something right lol. I'm going to breed her to a 3rd different male this spring/summer whenever she comes back in. But after that who knows Ol Smokey might get the nod again. Have a good one buddy!

'PR' Juke's Treein' Blue Cummins got killed on the road last night. He was out of Smokey and my Juicy female. He was such a nice dang pup and it was an honor to be a part of his young life. He will be our measuring stick of what a pup should be up to a year and a half old. RIP buddy

I was hunting Cummins last night when he was killed. Made me sick that a great young dog died doing what he loved doing. He was a complete natural, hard hunting, and a tree dog. Smokey is getting old, anyone wanting his blood better get it quick. I have trained several out if Smokey and all have needed only to be taken to the woods.. I plan in breeding my Gr. Ch. Nite Ch. Sammie to him and have 2 spoken for. I don't believe I will sell anymore than those 2. I have my reasons. I have had 2 killed to roads in 46 years of hunting. This one really hurts.
Yes, Jason. He was special. There will be another Cummins, promise.
