YOU GUYS SUPPOSED TO GET ANY RAIN TODAY. IT HAS BEEN CLOUDY HERE ALL DAY AND THEY ARE CALLING FOR A MILD THUNDER SHOWER AND NOT ALOT OF NEEDED RAIN. BUT WILL BE GLAD TO GET WHAT WE GET.

No rain expected. Weather man always show the fronts up north of us coming down but says it will not reach us before the system down here pushed it back. Unless one of the hurricanes stirs something up we are out of luck.

WELL THAT WILL NOT DO YOU MUCH GOOD.

WELL GUYS WHAT IS FOR SUPPER TONIGHT? WITH THE LITTLE LADY LAYED UP I WILL BE DOING MOST OF THE COOKING AND COULD USE SOME SUGGESTIONS. I KNOW WHAT WE WILL HAVE TONIGHT, JUST IDEAS FOR REMAINDER OF TIME.

TONIGHTS MENU

DEER TENDERLOIN WITH PEPPER AND SPICES ON GRILLE. BAKED POTATOE, GREEN BEANS, SLICED TOMATOES AND SALAD. AND I CAN NOT FORGET SWEET TEA.

ALSO HEARD ON THE NEWS THAT A GUNMAN OPENED FIRE IN JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL IN BALTIMORE MD. ONE DR. SHOT CRITICAL. HE IS STILL IN THERE. THEY ARE EVACUATING THE HOSPITAL.

MORE PEOPLE GOING CRAZY.

Posting pictures (how to)
By popular demand, I'm creating this thread as a quick how-to guide on posting pictures on the board. I'm stickying it so it won't get lost like all of the other threads on this subject. So, without further ado...

HOW TO POST PICTURES ON THE UKC BOARD

Step 1: Get A Picture

First of all, you need to have a picture in a digital format. If it's in your computer already, then you can move on to...

Step 2: Host the Picture

You need to have your picture hosted somewhere. What we mean by this is that your picture needs to be uploaded somewhere onto the web, such as on your own web site, a friend's web site or one of the free picture hosting services, such as hunt101.com, photobucket.com or imagestation.com.

Personally, I prefer Photobucket.com, since it's free and very straightforward to use. If you do host your picture there, just follow the steps on their web site to create an account and to upload your photos.

Once your picture is uploaded...

Step 3: Find Out The Picture's URL

Find out your picture's web address. This is the URL you need to type to view your picture. A simple way to get this is to load up the page your picture is on, right-click the picture and choose "properties" from the menu that pops up. What you need will look something like this "http://www.ukcdogs.com/res/banners/main.jpg".

On Photobucket, all you really need to do is to copy the line next to the "Img" label underneath the picture you want to display. It should look something like this:

Paste that line into your message board post and you're all set.

If you're not using Photobucket...

Step 4: Post The Picture

Now that you have the URL, you can inflict it on your fellow UKC board members. All you have to do is type in the url, surrounding it with the tags, so it looks this:

The board should then display the photo automatically whenever the post is viewed, like this:

Keep in mind, however, that if your photo is removed from the hosted site, it'll cause a broken link on this board (the picture won't show up).

I CANT BELIEVE,

We aint said nothin about banana[we say naner around here] puddin, you cant say southern food without naner puddin for desert. My Granny always made her own from scratch[boiled custard type], not out of a Jello box. Man I miss my Granny, what a southern mountain women. GOD BLESS YALL ALL.

CORKY, HAVE THE LEAVES STARTED TO TURN THERE YET? WE HAVE SOME CHANGING HERE. YESTERDAY WHEN IT RAINED WE HAD ALOT OF THEM FALLING AND BLOWING OFF TREES. AND LAST NIGHT WE GOT A REALL GOOD THUNDER SHOWER, SO I IMAGINE THERE WILL BE MORE.

JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL UPDATE, SHOOTING YESTERDAY. DR. THAT WAS SHOT SHOULD BE OK. AFTER A TWO HOUR STAND OFF THE SHOOTER SHOT HIS MOTHER AND HIMSELF. APPARENTLY THE DR. GAVE HIS MOTHER SOME BAD NEWS.

'nanna pudding!!

I know this 'Girl' here can make one from scratch because she has done it one time that I can remember. Sure was good! Use to see em on the table all the time back in the day. Anybody still cook on a wood stove? I think you can still buy wood stoves but the price is high...then you'd have to look hard to find anybody that knew how to use it. I mean the ones that have ovens and all.

CAN NOT SAY I KNOW ANYONE WHO OWNS ONE LET ALONE KNOWS HOW TO. WHEN I WAS YOUNGER MY PARENTS TOOK US TO NEW HAMPSHIRE TO VISIT SOME PEOPLE THEY NEW. NOW THIS GUY WAS NOT MARRIED AND HE COOKED EVERY MEAL ON A WOOD STOVE. TALK ABOUT GOOD. AND WHAT MEALS.

MY DAD USED TO COONHUNT UP THERE FOT TWO WEEKS EVERY YEAR. THEY ALWAYS GOT QUIET A FEW.

TOO BAD YOU DID NOT GET ANY RAIN. LOOKS LIKE IT COULD RAIN HERE AGAIN AND THUNDERED A LITTLE AGAIN THIS MORN.

WE GOT A WOOD COOK STOVE WE USE IT WHEN WEATHER IS COOL ENOUGH CANT WAIT TILL IT DOSE GOING TO PUT ON A POT OF PINTO BEANS AND A PAN OF CORN BREAD IN THE OVEN.

UNTILL I WAS 13 0R 14 THATS ALL WE HAD EVEN HEATED OUR WATER WITH IT

BOY LOOK HOW FAR THE MODERN TECHNOLOGY HAS COME. PEOPLE WOULD ALL STARVE TO DEATH IF THEY HAD TO USE ONE TODAY. MY WIFE INCLUDED. MICROWAVES HAVE RUINED THE OLD WAYS. BUT I USE IT ALOT.

I still remember the buttered biscuits 'Julie', an old lady, gave us as kids as the best I ever tasted. That old lady sure passed on some good advise about everything. I remember her telling me some things about gardening when I was starting with it as a kid.

Coffee sure is good this morning! On my third cup right now. Y'all behave yourselves. You too Miss C. Them big green tractors can get you in trouble especially if you are the driver! I have run some big green tractors.
