Coondogs will come from this cross. Trap 10 times. Born Independent with HUGE mouths. Hard going, track driving, winding coondogs. Beautiful pups with million dollar personalities.

Iron Man winds, Lill winds, Zig winds, Ty winds. Tree coons in the dead of winter. Without sitting down to trace out each dog, this cross will go back to Gr Nt Ch Finley River Dan about 80 times. Nt Ch Finley River Chief over 200 times. Lill and Jane are as good as Rambler females get to be. Hunted them together a few years, never saw them hunt together, run a track together, or tree together. It was like having 2 separate hunts, lol.

Starke's Nt Ch Finley River Superman HTX

Hi,

Superman sccored 450+, 200 circle, and 0 minus, at Roanoke, MO Saturday night. He won the Nt Ch hunt, High Scoring Dog, and won King of the Hunt. This was the 2018 Dick Gray Memorial Hunt, held annually, and was a double points hunt for the MCHF.

Superman is deadly accurate. If he trees, he has the coon 99% of the time. He is just 2 years old.

I pulled down my Nite Hawk thread. To whom it may concern, if you want to advertise your pups, that's great, do it on your own thread, but don't use mine. I am not your advertising agency. I am not Lonnie Mears' advertising agency. He quit breeding coonhounds years ago and just bred show dogs. Gave the old Dan dogs a bad rep.

Iron Man, Jake, Tuff, Superman

Hi,

I will breed these dogs, but the female must be approved first.

Been breeding these Finley River Dan hounds for 40+ years. Only takes one bad cross. Then, it is never the female's fault. It is always the stud dog's fault.

People want the huge mouth, fast, track driving ability, and the accuracy these hounds provide. I have enjoyed these traits since 1974.

Finley River Dan pups

Hi,

For the record, I started out with direct sons and daughters of old Dan.

I bought 2 pups from Dual Gr Ch Mears' Finley River Dan 3 breeding in the mid 70's.

Trap came from the crossing of those two pups.That was the litter Trap was in. I have been linebreeding her bloodline for 40+ years.

I offered Trap to Mr. Lonnie Mears as a 8 week old pup, out of respect. He told me directly that she would never reproduce and did not want to buy her... A short period of time later, his kennel was full of them and he sold them everywhere. He was buying her entire litter of pups before they were born. After she died years later, I received calls from people saying Lonnie had told them he had raised Trap from a puppy and had owned her all her life. That is simply not the truth.

I sold Trap to Tom Wilbers, Wardsville, MO. Tom Wilbers owned her most of her life. Tom knows where she is buried.

Lonnie tried to buy Zig from me. I told him no. Then he tried to buy a pup from Zig's littermate sister and was told no.

As for one person on the message board making veiled statements regarding me and my breeding program, I have been raising them for 40+ years. Lonnie Mears hasn't been raising them. He had completely different crosses. Emphasizing the show dog blood. My emphasis is Finley River Dan. If you are not aware of the differences, it shows your lack of knowledge of Finley River breeding and history.

PS To whom it may concern, take the best show dog blooded dog you OWN out of the last big Show Dog litter of Thunder, to OHIO, Randy Ward, 7403193752. Take a hunt with Starke's Finley River Dan. When the tailgate drops, the bullsh**t stops.

You owned and sold that female to Lonnie or someone to make that cross with Lonnie's Thunder dog. I am sure you bought back a pup and are hunting the hair off of it. I am sure it is making a top notch dog. Do you even OWN one of those dogs out of that cross??? As I have said several times, my pups speak for themselves.

Major

Hi,

Major got turned loose Friday night with some pups. They got down by a big swamp loaded with cottonmouths. Banjo and the pups came back. No Major.

No Major for 2 days. Jason killed 3 big cottonmouths walking along the old railway, by the swamp, while looking for him. A man who lived 3 miles from Steve's house called and said Major was there.

Ole Major had been snakebit on the ankle. But, he was home. Dodged the bullet. We had prayed for his safe return. God is good.

This is just one reason why I don't hunt in the summertime. I don't care who calls.

Hi,

Update: WoW that didnt take a minute. Superman scored 325+ with no minus, to win the the hunt and earn his Gr Nt Ch degree at Sweet Springs, Mo

He went from a big puppy to Gr NT Ch in less than a year. Boys, he beat good dogs and good experienced handlers to win his Nt Ch and Gr NT Ch degrees. He did not draw a bunch of common dogs and novice handlers.

And it was with very limited hunting.

Dan Meuller, Mankato, MN has been trying to get down here to breed his female to Jake for 2 years. He is finally going to make it this weekend.

She is a fine female. Runs and Trees. Finley River pedigree.
She also has 3 World Show Champions in her Pedigree.

Coon Season is almost here. I wish everyone a good hunting season and good luck with your young dogs.

I hunt every night I can during season. This is when I train my young dogs.

if you want to hunt, come any cold, frosty, moonlight night in Jan or Feb and we will go. We will turn your dog up a hollow and see what it does. Come back to the truck and I will turn Superman loose up the same hollow your dog came out of and see what happens.

Superman has a reputation for treeing coons other dogs have no idea are in the woods. He runs with his head up, has a fantastic nose with the brains to use it, and is a layup artist.

Gr Nt Ch Starke's Finley River Superman HTX

Hi,

God has blessed me this year. My baby boy made nt ch and gr nt ch very quickly. He won the Dick Gray Memorial Hunt and was High Scoring Dog. He just won 3rd place in the 2018 MCHF State Hunt this past weekend at Cole Camp, MO.

Superman was the only DOUBLE CAST winner in the Final Four. I don't agree with noncast winners advancing, but it was put to a vote and it was a draw. The president broke the tie with a vote for non cast winners advancing to the Finals.

Superman was treed by himself with the coon seen on every track of the entire hunt except one. Just couldn't find it. That includes the trees he made after time had run out on the cast.

I want to thank Charlie Wyatt for handling Superman and Jeff Wyatt. They put the wins on Superman. I charge a busy ER at night and can't keep one ready to go.

Superman had a coon treed when time ran out at the Final Round. Charlie could not hear him to call him treed. Jeff didn't walk 50 yards past this high bank and heard him treed. That coon would have given him the win. Oh well, he is a coondog wherever and whenever you turn him loose.

Starke's Finley River Batman

Hi,

Going to visit Randy Ward, Zanesville, OH to hunt for a week.
I will be hunting Batman and Starke's Finley River Dan. Randy has been hunting Dan. He has a screaming, roaring mouth. It will be fun to hear Batman and Dan roar on a tree. I will be taking Starke's Finley River Cozi to hunt with these 2 males. She is a littermate to Gr Nt Ch Starke's Finley River Superman HTX. She has had 2 litters of pups. They run and tree with the same screaming, roaring mouths like she has.

Randy has been hunting Dan in the rain. Randy says he has treed every track. He hunts in cutover timber several nights. He is a track dog, but will throw his head in the air and slam a layup at will. Call Randy or go for a hunt. phone 740-319-3752.

Gr Nt Ch Starke's Finley River Superman HTX

Hi,

Superman is for real. Night after night... track after track. He trees his own coon. Dogs aren't born more independent than Superman. He does not cover. He is a 2nd or 3rd honest strike dog. He is most always split treed with a real live coon. He is a first tree dog. He is a COONDOG... just like his daddy, Gr Ch Starke's Finley River Iron Man. Just like his granddaddy, Gr Ch Starke's Finley River Zig HTX. Just like his greatgranddaddy, PKC Ch Dual Gr Ch Finley River Zoom.

Superman won the 2018 Mid-Mo Coonhunters Hunt Series. He also won the 2017 Mid-Mo Coonhunters Hunt series. Superman won the 2018 Dick Gray Memorial Hunt, last August. He was High Scoring Dog and King of the Hunt. Superman won 3rd place in the 2018 MCHF Invitational Final Hunt, held in October at Cole Camp, MO. He was the only dog to go into the Final Four with all cast wins. He would have won the hunt, if the last coon he treed was before the hunt time ran out. That is the breaks of competition hunting.

Thank You Jeff Wyatt and Charlie Wyatt for all the hunting and handling of Superman. You will not meet a finer pair of brothers.

I get tagged for having "just show dogs". They are very nice looking dogs with great confirmation and excellent feet. I love to show dogs. To prove my dogs are coondogs and show dogs, Superman went to coonhunters as a 10 week old puppy and I bought him back.
