The next BIG thing?
In the comming weeks there will be a litter born that, in my opinion could cause a stir in the bluetick world. Of course this sounds cliche, but it is my opinion. For the ones that don't know, I bred my Daisy female to Brummy a few weeks ago and she has definitely caught. This cross doubles up on a few of the greatest hounds the Bluetick world has ever seen. Not to mention, most of the more reproducing hounds. Daisy is coming on 3 years old and has a UKC 2nd place and with that 2nd place came the Title BBOA ZONE 6 SE CHAMPIONSHIP QUEEN OF HUNT. She also is a Grand Show Champion and did aquire this title before the age of 2. As far as her style she is a get split type hound. Takes tracks as they come to her and is a lay up machine. When she throws her locate, put her on the card because she isnt going anywhere. She treed her first coon by herself at 8 months old and split treed with the meat shortly after that. In competition terms, she is a 3rd or 4th type strike dog and an almost guaranteed 1st tree dog. If you want to know how independent she is, take a listen to this story: on the night of the bboa hunt, she took a 2nd strike and a first tree with 2 other dogs treeing right behind her. once we got to the tree, it was an obvious split. She was litterally less than 5 feet away from the other 2 dogs with her own coon while they had theirs. That should sum her up there. As far as Brummy goes, I have seen him do some real nice things over the past year or better I have known Clyde. I was on the cast that Brummy won at the Winter Classic, and was in Indiana when he won up there. and I have to admit, this dog just seems to win casts. He could be down with the apperance of no hope and BAM, he trees coons the other dogs didnt even know was there. I cant explain it but one way, the dog wins. Each of these hounds has a High percentage of having the meat, which really in the end, is all that matters. So Ill sum up this with one last statement, Im a genetics guy. I believe you breed reproducing blood with reproducing blood, and you'll get a coondog. And that's exactly what we are doing here. Coondog x Coondog.
