He weighed 28 lbs.
Pat did JJ's dams hunt test. Deep snow for her hunt test. Hard walking. I was surprised she put one up. He's a good guy. Tell him I said Hi.

Pat is one of the good guys. He got me into hounds when I was a little kid, been hunting with him for 35 years, through the black dogs and now the white. I'll tell him you said hi. He did say your female looked really good that night. We should get together for a hunt some night, I'd really like to hunt with a red dog again, use to hunt with Alton and Theresa 3 or 4 nights a week and traveled to alot of hunts with them and Pat back in the day. I come over to the redbone site all the time just to look at Aubrey and Ann's hounds, they are some really great looking dogs that seem to get it done right and they put alot of work into them.

No problem, Carl. They were happy to help. For all of you who are wondering.....Carl shot a cow (per the farmers request ) that was running wild yesterday, and the thing dropped over dead in the bottom of a deep ditch.....so Aubrey and Jackson helped him drag it out. I blew the dust off of Tater tonight. Did a single drop. 2 casts.
He shot out 350 yards and did a big circle. He was out about 20 minutes and he checked back in. I leashed him up and took him to the very back of the woods and recast him. He struck in after sometime. Cold track. He slowly pushed and treed right up from the lake. He wouldn't settle in on it at first. I just sat back and waited and finally threw a really longgggggggg locate. Made me chuckle. Rolled it over. I could see the tracks on the tree . It was a den tree.

That is SO COOL to see the tracks on the tree! I only went coonhunting in the summer back in the 70s... so that is a NEW thing to see!

AND... your LOUD video got me again... I FORGOT your vid always has good volume... so I have it up to max and jump out of my skin! LOL...

Yup, Scott.....I'm sorry, but that still makes me chuckle. Jackson and I went sliding down that last part of that hill, and I look over my shoulder and here you and CLovis come, and Clovis went sliding down, and you bailed/rolled right off the side.....and then I heard a big "THUD"

Tater sounds really good. Sounds like he shook the dust off pretty quick.

Yeah. I still chuckle about it to. The first "thud" hurt worse than the second "thud" I'm glad I've got some thick padding all the way around. It clearly was rider error both times....
Tater did good last night. I did see the coon. He did a peek-a-boo from the hole. Tried to squall him out. But he wasn't having no part of it. It's still raining here. Hoping it keeps raining...

Did a quick drop with Tater and EZ tonight. They got out to 850 yards and called them back in. Didn't get nothing. Wasn't a big surprise. I walked the creek looking for tracks and didn't see nothing. The rain/snow mix probably didn't help.
