'PR' Given's Plain English Lil ' Blue.. I would like to Thank Bub and Neil Cash for allowing us to be apart of this cross. This was Blue's second trip to the woods and his second coon drag. He trailed and treed it. He is still very young at only 3 months old but he is off to good start. Chad and I are well pleased with him... Thanks again. ..

Ol man winter is on his way they are calling for rain turning to snow after midnight could get 6 inches in the high mountain top areas. 1-2 inches in the coal fields... High today was 60 degrees.. Temp now here is 42 degrees High for tomorrow 33 degrees... Temps back up to nearly 70 by Sunday...

Your hounds are looking good, that pepper sure is a steady tree dog. How old is she. Love the mouth on ol blu to. Just curious what kind of dog food do you feed? Looks like your hounds are nice and healthy with a good coat on them.

Thanks for the kind words... Pepper is 8 she is also a NtCh Treeing Walker. I paid good money for her 4 years ago. I am a English man but I like coon dawgs! Reguardless of sex color or breed. I am hard to please. If it cant pay its own rent or feed bill it dont stay here. I dont have perfect hounds but I like most of what I have. Blu and Sue are litermates and they are my favorite right now. I owe a few guys a huge thanks for this pair. First and foremost is Dave Haugh for their sire Roofus. Bub Casadorph for leasing me their dam Rose. Unfortunately the both of them have passed away and are greatly missed... Rookie Beres for hooking me up with Bub. Jerry Copley for getting Roofus to WV. I have some good crosses planned in the near future...

As for what feed I use is Purina Dog Chow... Not because it is the best because its not. But my hounds do well with it. I save the weight circle points for $7.00 checks. I buy it at Sams in 50 or sometimes 55lb bonus bags.. In other words for me it is more affordable..

Yeah thats also what i feed and my hounds do real good on it. A lot of people dont like it but it does good on my hounds plus the points system is a plus.

Nt Ch Hard Wood Pepper is showing her age after our 10 hours of hunting last weekend she wouldn't walk for 2 days. Her hunt time will be limited... I have a 3 day weekend this weekend no plans of any coon hunting due to Full moon. I have to cut firewood hang gutters winterize some things... Hope everyone has enjoyed my video as much as I have sharing them...

In response to PM's on the upcoming cross on Pearl... She still hasn't came in heat her sister should be going out of heat by now. I still hope to make that cross just waiting on Nature... Thanks to all for your interest...

I am planning a couple other crosses one on Blu and one on Bam.. I will give more details on them once they are in the making... I have had several request for pups out of Blu and Bam...

There was a tree #8 but my phone ran out of record space . So I had to delete some pics off my phone to free up some space. It worked for # 9 and 10. Ran out of space on # 11 I couldn't find anything else to delete so I ended my videos at #10...

I breed a blue English female named 'PR' PLAIN ENGLISH'S BLUE GIRL SISSY to GRNITECH 'PR' STONE COLD NICK in 2002. Sissy had 5 pups Rob Haller said he would pay $500 for the first blue male pup that Nick sired. Well Sissy had one unfortunately she never raised him. She only raised 3 of them 2 females and 1 male. The guy that bought the male came back complaining about him having the rickets. So I offered him his money back or another pup. He took a littermate female to Chief. The male went on to make a great hound with no signs of ever having the rickets. He liked the male real well so he sold the female. Rob tried to buy this male at one point. He was told that him or the bank didn't have enough money to buy Chief. He went on to say that he even had AC in his dog house. The other female went to a ranch owner he had her spaded and later on regretted it.. She was never trained on hunted but consistently got treed on the ranch.
This was the time that my old dogs were dying off and I quit for 5 years. Everything that I had breed for and put into building a breeding sock was gone. I have spent thousands of dollars to get back to where I was and believe me I haven't yet. I feel that I currently have a good line of hounds. But today's hounds are different. The last 3-4 years I have been trying to breed old school. What I mean is it seems hard to get the complete hound. From its hound mouth to it's hound nose to it's hound looks and it's overall houndiness. I like big over grown bawl mouth cold nose coon dogs. I don't need a stylish tree dog I want my dog to tree coons not trees. At the same time I don't want it to strike a track that it can't tree in a timely manner. I have been told I am a little to harsh and cull to hard but I know what I want and what I like. I often use my current favorites Blu and Sue as an example if I had a little of both in one I would have that wholesome hound. Blu has that houndiness but he isn't perfect my dislikes are he likes Bear and Skunks and I feel he needs a little more tree power not much just a little. Sue hasn't ran anything but a coon however she did strike a bear in the road one night coming home. My dislikes she is over mouthy on a track and has a little to much tree. Overall they are a fair pair of hounds. They have a home here for life. They are getting me back to where I once was but still have a ways to go...

Below is a picture of the male I sold this is the only picture the guy every gave me the owner and Chief has since passed away..

Me and Papaw

[b]We were sitting on my tailgate,
I can't remember the date.

While we listen to the crickets a chirpin',
I hear Papaw a slurpin'.

All of the sudden I hear a familiar sound,
I say Gramps put that white lightening down!

As his face turned to a frown,
I said listen to that ol' blue english hound.

As the bull frogs make their cry,
I could see papaw a sipping out of the corner of my eye.

Off in the distance, I can still hear Blu's deep bawl.
Blu's got his scent and Mr. coon had better haul.

All of the sudden a smile comes accross my face.
As I know it won't be long as Blu starts to quicken the chase.

So I gather my gear and start walking through the briars, and the hills,
Then I hear that long bawling locate that gives me chills,

I look at Gramps,
And say well he ain't no champ

But Ol' Blu will do,
All because of you.

Thank you for encouraging me to use this fine English Breed,
Blu is telling us that he has one treed!!!
