Superman

Hi,

Jeff and I took Iron Man hunting after looking at the Sid pups and figuring out which 2 to keep.

Hot, Humid, no air moving night. Turned Superman and the inbred pup loose about 1 am. Superman went hunting. Pup went with him and suddenly threw the brakes on. Bounded through the tall grass like a rabbit and stopped. Threw her head in the air and winded for about 3 minutes. Never moved a muscle. Then, went on her way. At about 440 yards in there on her own she made her way back to us. Not a bark on the ground from her or Superman.

About 660 yards in Superman gave those series of bawls that says I am winding around looking for a coon sitting up. He gave his usual locate and parked it. Walked in to him and there sat Mr Coon. He was a big rascal looking over the top of a big squirrel nest. Hooked up the big boy and took them home.

Jake and Cozi pups.

Hi,

Jake and Cozi have an outstanding litter of pups on the ground. They are absolutely beautiful. They are Finley River colored and have ROARING little mouths on them. They will make you turn your head and walk away. You can't stand to hear them bark. Come about supper time. They really put on a show.

April and Iron Man puppies

Hi,

April is having her puppies! The time and expense to restore her health has been worth the effort. These pups will have those Rambler traits that his pups are noted for. April was bred twice to total outcross dogs. The good traits that she and Iron Man share will solidify these pups' gene pool, proving... linebreeding pays off.
Big Winner or reproducer of coondogs? I think you know where I stand on that issue. The proof is in the pudding. Call any of my pup owners or go hunt with them. They are listed on page 30 and 31. Call them.

People are always sending pms wanting to know if I have a young started dog.

I never have one. I keep what pups I want from a litter for my breeding stock and sell the rest.

My partner and I, Jeff Wyatt, have a very nice started female for sale at this time. She is very quick on both ends. She is a daughter of Iron Man. Call Jeff, 660-888-1717 or myself 573-819-1531.

Iron Man

Hi,

Have had several nice hunts with Superman, Bounce and Patty. All Iron Man pups. Tree their own coon, split tree, tree layups, drive tracks, or run cold, cold tracks.

Superman is becoming a force to be reckoned with... A COON DOG.

Doubt that statement? Hop in your truck and come to Missouri. I will pay your gas home, if he doesn't get your attention.

Jake and Cozi pups

Hi,

Jake and Cozi had a litter of 8 pups this last July. I had a blast raising them. I love pups. I pack them around petting them talking to them, lots of times before their eyes are open.

Justus and One eyed Jack were my projects. Every litter has a project or two. Justus was the runt. I didn't know if he would make it. So, when his eyes were open, I started feeding him by himself. Then I noticed one of the male pups had a rough textured blue eye. He was blind in that eye. Well, can't sell that pup, he is mine. No problem deciding which male to keep,lol. So, I let Justus and One Eyed Jack roam the farm on their own. They played and played together out under the big ash trees. I watched them for hours playing. I made sure they had old socks, pull ropes and rawhides to entertain them. They made their bed behind the other pups in the soft hay and slept there at night. I had a pan of feed there at all times for them. In the evenings, I brought them in the kitchen and they got a special meal, while we ate. They never got off their rug to eat off a paper plate together. When they were done they would curl up together in a ball and go to sleep. I have pictures. Send me your phone number and I will send them to you.

Justus was the first pup to sell. Rod Arrowood bought him. He was the first to bay game, when let out for a potty break. He is house broke. Everybody that came, wanted to buy Jack. I kept telling them he wasn't for sale, because he was blind in one eye. He trees my house cat and has since he was 8 weeks old.

Finally, all my babies were gone except Jack and Spanky. Now, I am lonely. I always keep a male and female from each litter. That's how I keep my linebreeding program going. Also keeps me buying Purina Proplan 30/20 every week. You would not want my feed bill, lol.

I get videos, pics, and testimonials about those pups. Anything from how easy they were to house break, how smart they are, stories of baying coons, treeing coontails, treeing hangup coons, treeing the cats, and treeing squirrels. These pups were only 10-12 weeks old. My pups always make excellent pets. They are companion dogs. Want to get 110% out of my pups? Be their buddy. Give them plenty of attention and love. See what they will do for you in the woods. I feel very fortunate to have placed these pups in the homes they have. Great hound owners. God has been very good to me.

Superman is making a powerhouse coonhound. He is a force.

Doubt that statement? Load up and come for a hunt. We will take you to the hellholes we hunt. Terrible places with acres and acres of cutover timber, briar thickets you can't get through, multifloral rose as tall as your living room ceiling. So thick you just have to back up and find a way around the impenetrable mass of thorns. Superman makes it look easy. Moon up? Frosty? No tracks on the ground? No problem, Superman will go to the air. Trees layups as easy as any dog I have ever seen... unless it was Zig, Iron Man or Trap, from 41 years ago. Superman goes back to Trap 5 times. Gr Nt Ch Finley River Dan 42 times.

Come for a hunt. Call Jeff Wyatt 660-888-1717. Superman will speak for himself. I guarantee it.

Sold Out

Hi,

All my puppies are sold. Jimmy Adkins, Tx, Billy Joe Nelson, KY, and Gary Hunter, Bourbon, MO bought the last pups I decided to sell.

Randi had 2 more than I normally have. Cozi's litter had 7 pups. I never told anyone about her litter, because I wanted to evaluate Jake on a proven female. Jake's pups are treeing anything that climbs at 12 weeks old, little Jack was treeing my cat at 7 weeks old.

Good luck with all the pups bought here this year. I am getting good reports.

Starke's Finley River Ramblin Tuff

Hi,

Look for Tuff's first ad in the February American Cooner. He was running and treeing his own coon at 7 months old with a big loud mouth. He is a hard treedog.

His first litter of pups out of Iron Man's littermate sister, Tanna, were all treeing release coons or wild coons at 5-6 months old.

Sister and Sid pups

Hi,

Sister has her first litter on the ground. She has 8 fat, healthy, beautiful puppies. They are 4 weeks old now.

They have beautiful markings and loud screaming little mouths. Dual Gr Ch Nite Hawk Sid HTX is their daddy. Sid is a complete coonhound. He is here for your inspection any night you want to go.

Tanna is Sister's momma and Iron Man is Sister's uncle. Rambler 4 times thru these dogs and Tuff, Sister's daddy.

Finley River Dan about 65 times and Finley River Chief about 275 times.

7 puppies are sold. One remaining puppy left to sell. $400 with a $200 deposit. We sold 2 puppies to owners in Ohio and the remaining pups were sold here in Missouri.

Sid is a grandson of the 1999 PKC National Championship winner, the 1999 PKC World Hunt 2nd place winner, Platinum Ch UKC Gr Nt Ch Nite Hawk Roy. He is also a grandson of PKC Silver Ch UKC Gr Nt Ch Nite Hawk Roy, Jr

Hunting in cold weather

Hi,

Hunt Sid or Superman on cold frosty moonlight nights? Always have and always will. I don't own summertime hounds and I don't hunt in July.

I have never hunted with John Monroe. I hold no animosity for John Monroe. John Monroe can advertise any dog he chooses. I am not in a breeding contest. I could care less what dog John Monroe advertises. He advertised Zoom in the April, 1994 issue of the American Cooner. He stated in that ad Zoom was the dog he had been looking for to replace Finley River Joe since he died. The facts are the facts.

Look at the pedigree. I owned Dancer. I owned Jane. I bought them as puppies. I bred Dancer to Jane to produce Trap.

Trap is Zoom's mother. So, John Monroe hunted the same "show dog" blood I have hunted since the late 70's.
I believe he made reference about Zoom's ability as a coondog, who produced coondogs.

I still hunt the same blood I always have. Zig went back to Zoom twice. He was a grandson of Zoom on the topside and a greatgrandson on the bottom side.

If you don't have the ad, I can send it to you on the phone or photocopy it for you out of the magazine. Or, you can call American Cooner and have them send it to you.

When I was young, I named my dogs after men I respected. I will never make that mistake again.

Some of you just need to give it a rest. But, I guess if you cuss or discuss these dogs and their owner, at least you are giving some other poor soul a rest, lol.

PS Major is bred just the way I like them. Finley River Dan with a shot of Lipper. See him in the March American Cooner with Superman's ad.

Gr Ch Finley River Tar Screamin' Major

Hi,

Major will be here this spring. Needs 2 passes to be an HTX Ch. He was the 2013 Dyersburg County Coonhunters Club Championship Champion.

He is a good looking hound with one of the loudest mouths I have ever heard. He is a treedog.

He is out of PKC World Ch Gr Nt Ch White River Tar Screamin' Roller and Ziggy's half sister. She is a granddaughter of Zoom.

$400 stud fee with a negative brucellosis test. I will breed him to 2013 National Walker Days Queen of Show Gr Ch Lil Walnut Queen Bathsheba. Sheba

Hi,

Art Kiger hunted Bathsheba. she will tree coons consistently. Hard on the tree treedog. You can see her on the Dec Cooner ad on Preacher.
