We're at Holmesville Oh. Chuck's hunting Ruby. We put her in the FT, BS and WR....didn't do well in anything. Almost won the FT,Ruby got first tree, then ran again and got first line and tree, but then something wasn't done right so they had to rerun and she got beat 😞. Dandy forgot he was a coondog...I think he just came along for the food. He and another dog got to the tree about the same time. They both jumped at it, but neither barked....then Dan headed for the trailer. Maybe they'll do better tomorrow.

It was nice mtg u, 2, WB. We made it home ok and Chuck only complained about me speeding a couple of times. The OH troopers seemed to be out in force on the way home.
Ruby got the first line and tree she needed for field trial champion today. Dandy entertained everyone by getting first line than taking a crap just before the tree, going down peeing on the tree and then wondering around.
WB, did u hear anything about the guy that swam in for his dog? Hope both the swimmers and the dog are ok.

Thanks, Corky. We were hoping to get that win and a few more, but u can't win them all. Ruby gave it her all in the FT and WR. She had several first line/trees in the FT but not in the Finals. Two days in the water races we thought she'd win, but before the line another dog would pass her. A lot of folks recommended we get her a swimming cap, but none of the vendors had them. A guy lent us one, but as soon as I put it on she started digging at it, I didn't want her to ruin it so I took it off and gave it back to him.

Congrats again, WB, in placing on Saturday. Hope it was a drier night to hunt. We hit rain in PA.

Rob must be practicing retirement again. Practice makes perfect.

Glutton for punishment.last.night I guess I turned Willow, Samantha, Storm, and Avalon loose on a 70 degree summer night we treed.two but the dogs were.hot and so was I was ringing wet but boy did the air-conditioning in the truck feel wonderful

We planned on taking Ruby to a BS/NH tonight, but Chuck can't walk. Yesterday, we were sitting at his sister's making plans on what nights they were staying at his parents and he grabbed his knee and was groaning, said it cramped. But he hasn't been able to walk without a cane since we came home. He even let me drive home...so I know it's bad. I want him to go to ER, but deductible is high so he wants to tough it out until Monday.

Ten minutes minutes to three normally I would be hunting illegal in the state of Virginia but in training season you can hunt on Sunday but I am done and storm and Avalon are too it's cooler than last night but it's till hot

Just noticed I had a text from Rob that I got when we were in Holmesville. He said his computer crashed.
Gotta get off here and see if I can find anyone that wants to go the the casino tomorrow. Told WB at NRD that Chuck made me dip into my casino $ on Saturday, thought I might have to cut back for a wk or 2, but sold some hay and blueberries today and came home a few $ ahead on Thursday so I'm ready to go again.
