Thanks for the Congrats.

Rob, hope your daughter's team does well in Hershey.

Came home a loser from the casino, but not much...Chuck's still talking to me 😉

Watched ur video, WB. Anyone that hunts bear on the ground with a recurve bow can't be the brightest guy in the woods...maybe the luckiest! He should give up hunting and go to the casino.

GOOD MORNING ALL

WELL ITS BACK TO WORK. YUCK.

REX,
CONGRATS ON THE WIN WITH YOUR DOG.

HERSHEY WAS A GREAT TIME AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE GIRLS. THEY PLAYED SOME VERY GOOD GAMES. FIRST DAY THEY KNOCKED OFF THE HOST TEAM IN THERE BRACKET HERSHEY 1-0. SECOND GAME THEY PLAYED TO A 0 - 0 TIE WITH A TEAM FROM CALVERT COUNTY MD THAT IS ABOUT 3 HRS FROM HERE. THIRD GAME THEY WERE DEFEATED 1-0 BY A TEAM FROM AROUND PITTSBURGH PA. THAT WAS A GOOD GAME OF TWO EVENLY MATCHED TEAMS. THEY SCORED ON A BAD BOUNCE THAT OUR GOALIE MISS JUDGED RIGHT AT THE END. IF THEY HAVE WON THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME LATER ON SATURDAY. BUT THATS THE WAY IT WORKS. THEY HAD A GOOD TIME. IN ALL THE AGE GROUPS THERE WAS TO BE 315 TEAMS. I SAW LICSENSE PLATES FROM NY, NH, MAINE, WV, PA, MD, NJ, ONTARIO AND ONE FROM TEXAS.

Too bad the girls didn't make it to the Championship Game. But it sounds like they played some exciting games.

We took the dogs to Mahaffey on Friday night and Meadville on Saturday. The BS was canceled at Mahaffey so we put them in the FT..Ruby got pts 20 in it, Dandy got 0. Then Chuck decided to try his annual night hunt. He said Ruby was so bad, he was embarrassed. I think she missed me. I stayed at the club house with Dandy. Can't believe these young guys don't play cards. They all had their phones...no one knew how to play euchre or strip poker(just kidding, I didn't ask, I lost playing 3 card at the casino), so I played Solitare until Chuck got back.
Saturday at Meadville was Zone 6 Redbone Sectional. We almost didn't go. I didn't feel well and we were both tired from getting home at 3 am from the night hunt. Glad we drug ourselves out...Ruby got Champion Female and 2nd Overall Redbone of Show (or something like that).
Sunday, I hung out most of the day with my friend from OH that came into camp.
Yesterday, I went to the cemetery to plant flowers on my dad's and my brother's graves. Then Chuck grilled burgers for us at his parent's, it was his night to stay over with them to help with his mom. Now, I need to get caught up(never) on housework.

GOOD MORNING ALL

CORKY,
YES THEY HAD A GOOD TIME. THEY HAVE ANOTHER TOURNAMENT COMING UP IN JUNE. REGULAR LEAGUE GAME THIS WEEKEND.

REX,
CONGRATS ON WINS WITH HOUNDS. I CAN REMEMBER COMING BACK TO CLUB AFTER A NITE HUNT AND THE FEW THAT STAYED AT CLUB PLAYING CARDS AND COOKING BURGERS. I GUESS THAT WILL BE ANOTHER LOST ART TO THIS GENERATION OF TECHNOLOGY.

My answer was going to be "wet". We were just out last night with the dogs at a friend's house. He decided to go with us and wore sneakers. The first tree was right on the edge of his field, the 2nd was across the stream. The dogs were over 200 yds away and still running. Since he didn't want to cross it and the dogs were getting close to a rd, Chuck decided to go to dogs and Ray and I were going back to the car. We hadn't went far before the dogs started treeing so we turned around and crossed the CRICK. We were close to the tree, Chuck pulls the dogs off, and heads to the rd where I was supposed to pick him up. We hollered a few times for him to come back, but he never heard us. While we were walking out, we couldn't find the same placed we crossed and Ray got his ft wet. He couldn't believe Chuck can hear turkeys and couldn't hear us. Chuck and the dogs beat me home 😄 It's just over a mile walk.

WB....a creek and crick are the same here. What's the difference in a brook and a stream?

Rex Ridge we don't use the word stream down here in the mountains we use branch creek and river a branch being the smallest a creek is between a branch and river you like how far is it well just a peace depending on which side of the mountain it rolls off depends on which big pond it goes to either the one they call the Atlantic or the one they call the gulf some county's all the water flows out of it none threw it like Floyd County

LOL...I'm always confused anyways.
We went to somekind of Purina BS on Saturday. I took all the Purina weight circles we had. Didn't need them. Then Ruby won her class so I thought she had to go back against the other females, but she didn't. Things seem to change from wkend to wkend.

I'm sticking to CRICKS.

Thanks, Corky.

We got a BIG check for LITTLE $ today from NAFA. Our coyote and 5 coon sold for $49.50, by the time they deducted commission, subscription and other fees; we got just over $33. Coon prices were up!! Only got $1.50 for a coyote. It was chewed up around its tail. Thought maybe another one got after it when it was in the trap.

The highest price pd at the auction was $31. The highest we got pd was $16, our avg was $9.60, better than $2; we got last yr.
We had a good coon hunt yesterday. My friend is trying to catch porcupines chewing on her mom's house and got a coon. She brought it up and we let it loose for Dandy. As soon as Chuck opened the trap, it was gone. Dandy was in the house so by the time I got in and let him out the coon had a little headstart. Dandy ran out and took off out of hearing distance. Since he was gone and we had no idea where he was, we put the tracking collar on Ruby and let her out. Next Ruby was almost out of hearing distance, when the Alpha finally came up, we could hear both of them treeing just over 200 yds away. Sue and I let the guys walk down over the hill (STEEP) to bring them back. When they got back, they had beer, I had wine and we bsd for a half hr.

DAN,
YOU CAN NEVER TAKE TO MANY VACATIONS. BESIDES I AM AT THE POINT IN MY JOB WHERE I CAN ONLY CARRY FIVE WEEKS OVER FROM ONE YEAR TO THE NEXT. THAT MEANS ALL THAT I EARN THIS YEAR HAS TO BE USED OR I LOOSE THEM. WE ALSO GET 7 PERSONAL DAYS TO USE, I GET COMP DAYS ON TOP OF THAT INSTEAD OF OVERTIME. BEEN THINKING ABOUT TAKING THE ENTIRE MONTH OF NOVEMBER OFF. WIFE MAY NOT LIKE IT. MY .223 IS A REMINGTON MODEL 7 WITH A 3x9 LEUPOLD. IT WILL DRIVE NAILS.

REX,
SOUNDED LIKE A GOOD COON HUNT.

Ruger American

Dan, you cant go wrong with the Ruger American. I bought one for my son 2 years ago. I got the Compact Model in the 243 for him. Great Gun, barrel is Aluminum Pillar Bedded, has Accu-trigger, and shot 1/2" groups at 100 yrds with factory ammo. For the money you cant go wrong.
Good Luck.
