Get tough, Dan!
We saw a turkey tonight...across the rd again and Chuck saw one this Am on the way home from his parents. I think he's going hunting in the AM, but he hasn't asked for permission yet where he's seeing them.
Saw a bunch of guys are at their camps around here so he'll probably go back down to the farm. He went down yesterday to stay overnight to help with his mom so he didn't have any of his hunting stuff with him.
Saw on FB some people still didn't have electric this afternoon. We only lost one old apple tree, but there are alot of trees down. My friend had several come down. They had to move one so her horses could get in the barn. Some fell on the electric and phone lines and tore the wires off her house. I tried calling her around 8 pm and her phone still isn't working.

Are u dogsitting this wk, Dan?

Our son got a new pup last month. She's a black and tan. Half yorkie and 1/2 Jack Russel. I'm sure she'll be a great tree dog.

My friend and I walked 5 miles again yesterday. We saw lots of downed trees on the way to Cooks Forest. 2 tornadoes were confirmed in the area.

Corky, If my knee was in better shape, it would be alot easier. Called the dr for the 3rd time today to have my knee checked out. Left a message to just call me back with a date and time and I'd be there. This playing phone tag for almost a month is getting old.

Chuck planted 400 pine trees, mowed the yd and ran the weedeater Wednesday while I was hiking. Wednesday night after supper, I told him my feet hurt, but I thought we should take the dogs out for awhile. He told me to forget it. I'm starting to think I married an old man...he takes naps, too.
It was raining hard here this Am so he hunted turkeys from here. He didn't hear anything. How did u guys do today?

Don't know where everyone is. If they got as much rain as we're getting maybe the built an ark and headed for higher ground.
He works himself too hard. I only tell him to wash the dishes and clean the house. I'd mow the yard. He orders pine trees every yr for the DEER! They have to have a place to hide. Usually, he gets 500 and I help him plant them, but he didn't want to wait for me to come home.
Brought home 2 Champion of Champion slips tonight. Chuck was going to hunt Ruby and I was going to stay with Dandy, but it rained most the time, so we came home.

Thanks, Corky.
If u guys in VA are near Den Rd in Christiansburg be on the lookout for 2 Great Danes. I saw on FB there's a $1200 reward for them.
Chuck stayed with his mom last night so I had a busy AM...got the barn work done, fed the pups, loaded the outside woodburner, walked up to get the mail and got permission from the guy across the rd to hunt turkey on his property. Want to work in my flower beds, but waiting for a call about my horse trailer. For 2 yrs, u never know if anything working off the marine batteries is going to work. Hope to get it working right this yr.

Neighbor: Why can't you throw the fourth son out of your house? Father: He is the only one earning money. The rest are unemployed.

An engineer and a psychiatrist meet up for their 20th college reunion.

The engineer says, "I'm surprised to see you still looking so young. I'd have thought listening to people's problems all day would have given you a mass of wrinkles."

The psychiatrist says, "You think we listen?"

A man, while playing on the front nine of a complicated golf course ,became confused as to where he was on the course. Looking around, he saw a lady playing ahead of him.

He walked up to her, explained his confusion and asked her if she knew what hole he was playing. 'I'm on the 7th hole,' she replied, 'and you are a hole behind me. So you must be on the 6th hole.'

He thanked her and went back to his golf.

On the back nine, the same thing happened and he approached her again with the same request.

'I'm on number 14, and you're still a hole behind, so you must be on the 13th hole.'

Once again he thanked her and returned to his play.

He finished his round and went to the clubhouse where he saw the same lady sitting at the end of the bar. He asked the bartender if he knew the lady. The bartender said that she was a sales lady and played the course often.

He approached her and said, 'Let me buy you a drink in appreciation for your help. I understand that you're in the sales profession. I'm in sales also. What do you sell?'

'I'll tell you, but you're going to laugh,' she replied.

'No, I won't.'

'Well, if you must know,' she answered, 'I work for Tampax.'

With that, he laughed so hard he lost his balance and fell off the bar stool.

'See,' she said. 'I knew you'd laugh!'

'That's not what I'm laughing at,' he replied, 'I'm a salesman for Preparation H, so I'm still a hole behind you.'

A new business was opening and one of the owner's friends wanted to send flowers for the occasion.

They arrived at the new business site and the owner read the card. It said, "Rest in Peace."

The owner was angry and called the florist to complain. After he told the florist of the obvious mistake and how angry he was, the florist said, "Sir, I'm really sorry for the mistake, but rather than getting angry you should imagine this: somewhere there is a funeral taking place today, and they have flowers with a note saying, 'Congratulations on your new location.'"

Sorry for your loss, Dan.
Hope u get feeling better. U better listen, and go to the dr.
I thought you were busy killing turkeys. Chuck finally got one this AM.

Cute jokes, Slough. 😄

Sunday while we were hiking, I lost my good glasses in the woods. I came home and told Chuck I had bad news....guess what happened. He guessed I wrecked the car. So I said good news, I only lost my glasses. Today on our hike, we found them!
