Have a safe day TD. How is everyone this morning? Fine I hope. I am about done with this weather we are having. I am going to have to call on the all mighty Ron to change this. If anybody can do this he can.

I am going to have a Peach Cobbler. My mother-in-law made it for me. She is 84 and she makes it the old way and it is delicious. I travled lot further than that on some of my coon hunts and had a bad hunt.

The peaches in this area are sweet this year. They said it was due to the hot weather we have had.

Well I'll be danged, Jim wasn't all that old if I remember right he had a stent(spellin) put in a few years ago. Black panther ave. would work. Does roundup kill them buttonweed? When we use too walk beans(before roundup) we sprayed under them to get a good kill. The top part had that wax like film on it, herbicide would run off.

O.K. here we go. Saw 2 squirrels in a walnut tree I was calling and they never did answer but I got them to moving. One of them I could shoot the other stayed hid in leaves. Shot 6 times never did hit him with 22. Not the guns fault but I would either shoot in front or behind him bark would fly and he would either go up or down. For a while he didn't know which way to go. Open sights a little harder these days may have to get a scope. Walnut cuttings all over the ground. Will try later. Hunted for 1 1/2 hours. Squirrels are harder to hit than coons at least for me. Still believe in my old saying don't waste your time use a K-9 end of accurate report.

Words of wisdom---- thats just what I was thinkin' when I didn't hit him, if I would have brought the Winchester he would be on the ground by now. I figured the Browning auto. would be cheaper to operate---Hunter go's home empty handed. Just like the old sayin' IF THE DOG HADN"T STOP TOO S##T HE'D HAVE CAUGHT THE RABBIT.

Never wanted to carry that much weight in the woods. Unless I carried a 410. I still got my old 410. Good one.

Still got my old 410 single shot Stevens. Dad bought it for me one Christmas I think when I turned 13. Costs an arm and a leg now to shoot a 410, their higher than a 12 gauge or 20. Shot a bunch of bunnies with that old gun, a few squirrels. Gotta go look at some goats this afternoon, takin' the farm manager with me.

been along time since I see that Stevens..Big Tone carried it a time or two when me, him and dad went rabbit hunting..he killed more with it than he did with that 12 he carried all the time..wasn't it a nickle plated barreled one???..we would go over to Charlie pearcy's thicket.over there south of where the tower sat by ashmore..man I wish I had some of them rabbit dawgs back we ran back then.I started with a savage over and under..410 on bottom and 22 on top.. great rabbit gun..if the rabbit came hopping along in front of the dogs ,you could head shoot him with the rifle..if he was running full tilt you could roll him with the 410..Dad traded that gun for %^$@#$($X... 58 sportsmen made by Rem...I aint kidding ,I wouldn't be afraid to get shot in the butt with it at 30 yards..I shot squirrels with it at 30 yards..they would just shake like a wet dog then go back to cuttting on a nut.....
