Here are a couple hounds that would wear a pair of boots out in a week.lol.

CH GRNTCH SMOKEY RIVER CHIEF'S BLUE LIL(chief x fly 2nd cross) in August 2000.

LIL treed north of Ft.Towson, OK

CH GRNTCH SMOKEY RIVER CHIEF'S BL DANCER and CH GRNTCH SMOKEY RIVER CHIEF'S BLUE LIL treed at a ranch near Sawyer, OK in late 1997.

I am like you, I wish the cross could have been made again. The bad thing is two dogs couldn't get a lot further from each other and that sure makes it hard to get it done.

It sounds like Jenny has reproduced well from everything. I would like to have one out of her and most any stud.

Lee,
you are right it is a long road trip, but sure was worth it. I would have to look up how many pups she has. I am not too good at keeping track of all that. I know that she does seem to throw coondogs. She is about ready to pup her last litter this Sat.

Lee I am looking to make that trip again though. I have a female that is a littermate to my Pete dog. She has been owned by a hide hunter most of her life. She is a fast on track and real good tree dog. Once I get her home I may put her in a few hunts.

She is outa Tony Foley's Rattler dog and Jenny.

Lee...Thanks so much for posting pics on my thread. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the pictures of Bullet and Bullet II. WOW! Thanks, again! Lee,
Chalk another one up for ole Blaze. Got a text this morning that Colt finished to Nite ch last night with another 1st place win!! He made nite champion with 3 first place wins including ZonE 3 king of hunt in 2012..

I know of at least one more outa this cross that just needs a 1st..Cricket just needs 1 more ch win to be Grand on Bench,and she is getting the winter rust knocked off,and been looking good. Will be hitting the hunts with her soon planning on getting her dual grand by end of summer..

who is the fellow in La. that has the full litter mate male to Blaze/bullet II, he was at one of our hunts here a couple years ago, hunting the litter mate, he said he had Blaze for a while but like the litter mate better so he sent Bullet II back to Lee, I drew out with him, I liked the dog he was pretty decent......Gerald

To my knowledge there is and never was a littermate to Bullet II in LA.

The only time Bullet II has been away from home was from 4mo old until 6mo old. The late Charles Carter from Arkansas was a good friend of mine and we helped each other hunt hounds for a few years. Before Bullet II was given that name Charles hunted him 4 nights and he split with the coon on the last night. At that time he called and we agreed he was ready to come home and go by himself. Charles never hunted with Bullet II after he was 6mo. old.

Charles did have a half brother to Bullet II named Jackson. I gave him to Charles when the dog was about a year and a half old and he made him a fine hound. Him and a man from LA were partners on him and made him a GRNTCH. I bet this is the hound you have in mind.

Jackson was a full brother to my Jewel female from the cross my Dad and I made on Bullet and our Waggs female. You can see her picture and pedigree on my web site if you like.

Hope this cleared things up for you with the actual true story.

this fellow was hunting the dog actually for a friend or a relative that just wanted to finish him to ntch,I think at that time he said the dog was around7 or 8 years old, he finished him that night, he said he hunted blaze night after night for a while, he said the dogs name was changed to Bullet II, this was at the bradley co. c.h.a. ukc hunt, I will will get the master of hounds to pull those hunt reports and see who it was exactly, I will let you know.....Gerald

No need....No man hunted Bullet II night after night but myself. I gave you the story of him as a pup to help you out, not for you to then tell me you would ask another person if it were true. I don't take kindly to any man telling me a false story and not listen to the truth when I share it. That is the same as calling someone a liar which won't work on this thread. If that is in fact what your intent was.

I hate you were misinformed,and that you would rather listen to fourth hand stories. Also by knowing he is 12yrs. anyone could do the math and know an 8 yr old littermate just 2yrs ago doesn't add up. neither I or Bullet II have to prove anything.

And to end any doubts I owned Bullet IIs sire and dam and I kept every male out of the litter until they were almost 2. There were a total of 4 out of that litter and only BULLET II and the only littermate female to him were ever put in a hunt.
