Nice turkey, Rob.

Cute joke, WB.

We saw a couple of hens earlier this week. Tonight in the field across the rd a flock of about 11 were out.

What kind of calls do u use for turkey? The only one I ever called in, I used a box call. Chuck usually uses mouth calls.

GOOD MORNING ALL
56 HERE, LIGHT RAIN.

REX,
I USE MOUTH CALLS. THAT IS ALL I HAVE USED. MY DAD TAUGHT ME THEM WHEN I WAS REAL YOUNG. THAT IS ALL HE EVER USED AND HE SEEMED TO ALWAYS GET ONE IN THE SPRING. USUALLY CALLED THEM INTO A FEW BUDDIES ALSO. I DO OWN A BOX CALL OR TWO BUT THEY NEVER LEAVE MY SHELF. I PLAN ON GETTING BACK OUT ON SATURDAY. ONLY PROBLEM WITH THE WEEKENDS IS ALL THE IDIOTS ARE OUT. THEY NO NOTHING ABOUT CALLING TURKEYS. THE TURKEYS USUALLY CALL THEM IN AND THEY SCARE THE HE!! OUT OF EVERYTHING.

WBOND,
LIKED THAT JOKE.

APPBLUE,
SAW CATFISH AD ON HERE.

Corky, I haven't hunted turkeys for a few yrs. It's more work than deer hunting and not as much fun for me as coon hunting. IF I would decide to go, it wouldn't be until Chuck gets one and we decide what to do with it. I told him I wasn't cooking anymore. Last yr, he had 2 guys that said they'd take one if he got one, but he spent too much time fishing in the spring and too much time archery hunting in the fall to hunt turkeys.
Last night, we got a little damp while we were out with the dogs. They did tree one before we pulled them off the 2nd track and headed for the Jeep. Hope to take Ruby to another HTX this wknd.

The yr, we saw 2 bear and a coyote arond here, we had at least 6 does coming out and only a couple had fawns with them. Last yr, was about the same way. One doe had twins and one had one. Something is getting them. Last yr, Chuck brought down part of a fawn that he found near a fox den. We didn't think a fox would kill one, but they were eating it. Chuck found part of a FISHER up there last wk! What would kill a fisher?! I told him to put a camera up there. We went up the next day and the fisher was gone so he didn't put a camera out.

Psychology 101
In a class on abnormal psychology, the instructor was about to introduce the subject of manic depression.

She posed this question to her students: "How would you diagnose a patient who walks back and forth screaming at the top of his lungs one minute, then sits down weeping uncontrollably the next?"

A young man in the rear raised his hand and suggested earnestly, "A football coach?"

Youth turkey was here on Saturday, didn't hear of anyone getting one.

Friends were up to camp with their horses. We rode Saturday and Sunday.

Friday, we took Ruby to an HTX in NY; she failed .... Couldn't find a coon! I told Chuck NY coon must smell different than PA coon. He's such a poor sport, he said he won't go back. We think completely the opposite...I told him I want to go to everyone they have until she trees a NY coon!

Cloudy here, it sprinkled earlier. I wanted to ride, but thought about the time I got Jas saddled it would rain.
Gave Chuck a choice of helping clean house or fishing. He chose fishing! When he was getting ready to leave, I headed for the barn. Told him if he wasn't cleaning, neither was I. Worked on my tack, taking a break, then heading out to work on weeds (flowers).

IRS
I.R.S. A pastor of a church is sitting in his study when the phone rings. "Hello, is this Reverend Jones?" the caller asks. "It is." replied the pastor. "This is Bill Johnson with the Internal Revenue Service. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions?"

"I'll try." said the pastor. "Do you know a John Timmons?" "I do." "Is he a member of your congregation?" "He is." "Did he donate $10,000 to the church?" "He will.

Chuck was home in less than 2 hrs with his limit of 5. He went out again early today and got his limit again. He saw 3 gobblers strutting in the field across from us this Am. Part of the woods next to the field is posted. But the neighbor told him to stay out of what isn't until he got his last yr. Chuck even lent him his decoys (which he never got back) so he could get one. The guy lost his job, lives in a shack and half the time doesn't have anything to drive so Chuck doesn't feel right crowding in on him.

Sorry u missed one, Dan. The last one I shot at I missed. Chuck couldn't believe it. We (he) put a lot of time into getting in front of it and calling it in.

Nice day here, my friend and I walked 5+ miles on the North Country Trail. Hope if I can talk Chuck into taking the dogs out, they tree one quickly.
