We found the brackets from $8.50 (heavy) or $7.50 ea at TSC, 2 in a pack for around $6 at Home Depot and less than $5 for a 2 pk at Lowes. We bought them, now not sure we even want the panels....its a woman thing, I guess. TSC has 10 x 10 for almost $300 on sale. That's why I thought these 12 5' panels were a deal. 8 would make a 10 x 10 kennel and would save us about $100. But since she didn't have brackets that was more and we did find 10 x 10 kennels at Lowes for $22? + tax so her deal isn't looking as good. Just want to fence off some of the back yd for now with it. Turned out she has (10) 6 X 6' and (2) 5 x 6' panels.

We saw 5 hens today on our drive. Chuck doesn't by 3" . He uses 2 3/4 in the 12 gauge and 3 1/2" in the mag 10 usually Federal brand. Butvfor birds in the blueberries...anything on sale.

It was in the low 30's most of the day here. Doubt we got an inch of snow, but it was close. It didn't lay on the rds.

It rained everyday, but Wednesday so the creeks are high, muddy and fast .... Not want u want for kids fishing (trout) day tomorrow.
Chuck hasn't got his fishing licenses or trout stamp yet. Maybe I'll see if I can buy them next wk for him. It will be his anniversary present...34 yrs next Saturday. Give them to him, then tell him to put them away because I want to celebrate at the casino 😘

LOL...Rob, I would let him if he wants to. But the only thing I got him so far is a tire thumper so he better not be late ☺
We might even go to the casino on Friday. Because what I really want to do for our anniversary is take Ruby to an HTX on Saturday night! We need to get her out a couple of nights this wk to make sure she still knows what a coon is. We took Dandy out tonight. He treed twice....first on a tree that was probably a den tree an the next time in a big pine.

Glad Lance is doing well. Chuck's mom is bound and determined to get home ASAP. We went down today to their house to try to get things changed around so she can use a wheelchair.

Old Blue
A man was opening a wildlife park and was needing a bear for an exhibit. He called some hunters and asked them if they could recommend someone who specialized in taking big game alive. They told him about a man that was a little unorthodox but the best in the business. He called the specialist and made arrangements to meet him at a spot in the woods where a bear had recently been spotted. After waiting a while an old beat up pickup backed in next to him. An old man jumped out and started unloading an unusual assortment of items. He took out a feather, some rope, a gun, and an old hunting dog. 'What are you going to do with all of this? Asked the park owner. "Well this is Old Blue," the old man said referring to the dog, " He's the best tracking dog there ever was. He is going to track the bear down and run him up a tree. Then I'm going to climb the tree with this feather and start tickling the bear. That will loosen his grip and he will fall out of the tree. Old Blue is trained to lunge between his legs as soon as he hits the ground and bite down with all of his might. The bear will throw his arms up in pain. That's when you take the rope and tie him up and we've got him." The old man said. "Wait a minute" Said the park owner. I want to take the bear alive. What's the gun for?" The old man looks at the gun and says "That's in case the bear knocks me out of the tree first.........then you shoot Old Blue!"

We took the dogs out. They were BOND DAWGS again, had to tree the coon on POSTED property!

The dogs stayed on the right side of the POSTED signs tonight. While they were treed an ATV was up hanging around our Jeep. We got the dogs and started out, but it left.
Chuck worked in the orchard again today. He came in and told me he didn't want to fight BUT...he was ripping out my kiwi and seedless grape vines. I told him if he didn't want to fight to transplant them...so he did. Our male kiwi died so the girls don't get any fruit, but I still like the vines. If they grow, I'll try getting another male.

A really huge muscular guy with a bad stutter goes to a counter in a department store and asks, "W-w-w-where`s the m-m-m-men`s dep-p-p-partment?"

The clerk behind the counter just looks at him and says nothing.

The man repeats himself: "W-w-w-where`s the m-m-m-men`s dep-p-p-partment?" Again, the clerk doesn`t answer him.

The guy asks several more times: "W-w-w-where`s the m-m-m-men`s dep-p-p-partment?"

And the clerk just seems to ignore him. Finally, the guy is angry and storms off.

The customer who was waiting in line behind the guy asks the clerk, "why wouldn`t you answer that guy's question?"

The clerk answers, "D-d-d-do you th-th-th-think I w-w-w-want to get b-b-b-beat up?!!"

A young lad was visiting a church for the first time, checking all the announcements and posters along the walls.

When he came to a group of pictures of men in uniform, he asked a nearby usher, "Who are all those men in the pictures?"

The usher replied, "Why, those are our boys who died in the service".

Dumbfounded, the youngster asked, "Was that the morning service or the evening service?"

An avid duck hunter was in the market for a new bird dog. His search ended when he found a dog that could actually walk on water to retrieve a duck. Shocked by his find, he was sure none of his friends would ever believe him.

He decided to try to break the news to a friend of his, the eternal pessimist who refused to be impressed with anything. This, surely, would impress him. He invited him to hunt with him and his new dog.

As they waited by the shore, a flock of ducks flew by. they fired, and a duck fell. The dog responded and jumped into the water. The dog, however, did not sink but instead walked across the water to retrieve the bird, never getting more than his paws wet. This continued all day long; each time a duck fell, the dog walked across the surface of the water to retrieve it.

The pessimist watched carefully, saw everything, but did not say a single word.

On the drive home the hunter asked his friend, "Did you notice anything unusual about my new dog?"

"I sure did," responded the pessimist. "He can't swim.

LOL....good jokes.

We only got a few kiwi before the male died. We use to drive to Miller's Nursery every yr the Friday before Memorial Day for their half off sale. Tried planting/growing a little of everything. Blueberries and apples did the best here. We have over 100 blueberry bushes. I was looking at my flowers yesterday. Was hoping some Chuck ran the weedeater over last yr, might come back, but no sign of them.

Good luck getting more turkeys, Dan.

Got Chuck his fishing license and trout stamp today. Now they're calling for rain on the wkend.
