Daryl ours treed a coon last night. Was the 2nd time he was hunted. The 1st time I hunted him he took an old track a good ways then the rain started and rained the track.out.

I hear ya Daryl! Im excited for this second cross I have a feeling it will be as good if not better than the first. Wait is that possible?? When it comes to coondogs that Bobby is one hard dude to please. I can't believe he has kept John this long lol. I might have to get him a Homer pup 😎. But him and Eddie would probly want a female so they could breed it to John.

I have to fun around with these guys alittle.. they put the preasure on Deb & I saying that they wanted the 2017 models to be better than the 2015's!
Well now the Preasure is on them I told them the 3 pups that we raised in our kennel where ready for the woods and they are proven me right so far!
all 3 of the pups that got a ride to the woods treed the 1st or 2nd night out! IronManII,Bandit, & Sully ( 8 months old today!)

I think i get caught up in all these young dogs on the tree and fail to say that I think BlueJohn puts alot of his "Track Power" into his pups!
Which helps put them on the tree at an early age Tree'n there own Coon instead of run'n amuck though the timber chase'n other dogs.

Erik this pup I got off him and Zeva is the same kind of track dog. Runs with his head in the air and can really move a track. The first time I ever took him I turned a coon loose and then took him about 10 minutes later to where I cut it loose across a big field. He ran that track a good 10 to 12 yards off the track just about as fast as he could go. When he got to where it went up he through a great big locate without any hesitation. I think he went another 15 yards or so to the tree it went up after he located. Now it's a week later and last night he was .6 through the county from his daddy.

We have the Preacher pup ready for the woods & he is heading to Rodney Crisco down in North Carolina next week.

Also we worked Rick Browns BlueJohn x Zeva pup Truman
for the 1st time on a scent only drag!
Truman tracked & treed flawlessly!..."OMG!"What a mouth on this pup!



So stay turned for updates both these pups are ready for a ride to the woods!

For what ever reason not breeding many females of late. Johns not getting any younger. When all these young pups that already tree coon alone get old enough to hunt the nite hunts John might get the attention he deserves. He has around 180 pups with 1 Gr. Nite Ch. 5 Nite Ch. 6 that only need another win to be Nite Ch and 3 with a 1st and 2 with a 2nd. Half his pups still under a year old.

In the past few weeks i have had hunters contact me wanting BlueJohn pups so the demand is there!... it would be good to see a few more nice coonhounds bred to BlueJohn

BlueJohn is for sure producing pups that are early easy starting get gone hunting and get the job done with or with out company!
