Rob, did your pumpkin patch do well?

Snowing, windy and cold here. Temp was 17° at 8:30 and is that now. We did see it was as high as 18° on the way home from checking out beaver dams. Had enough snow overnight that we could see paw prints in the snow. Set 2 more bobcat traps where we saw a couple crossed the rd. Saw where a BEAR crossed the rd last night! Thought maybe muzzleloader hunters woke it up.

We haven't had our dogs in the woods for over a wk. Ruby was looking so nice, now she's getting fat again. Nice pictures of ur Redbones, WB. Hope Avalon and u see eye to eye soon. How is Stacey doing?

Well mike & I went hunting for a couple hours this evening and did;nt see anything we thought they would move with this snow front moving in but we were wrong as usual-- try again friday evening then this old man is resting until spring turkey season--- hope WB gets his snow--- Rex hope yall catch a lot of fur-- Rob you will like new camera I set mine on one minute--- everyone stay well --- see ya

To say that checking traps today was disappointing would be a HUGE understatement. First, when we left here it was 2° most of the time we were walking it was a balmy 6°. We had a coyote get out of one trap, bobcats pretty close to 2 traps and coyote right up to one. Came home with nothing 😞
We went down to Chuck's parents today and saw where a BEAR crossed their lane! Wonder what's up with these crazy bears.

First time this bobcat trapping season I didn't go with Chuck to ck traps. Chuck said nothing went near them last night.
I went out for lunch with some friends. One parked her car here and I drove to the restaurant. While we were gone, Chuck came home from trapping, drove right past her car, then decided to go down to the farm and backed right into the front of my friend's car 😞 It doesn't look too bad, but I'm sure it won't be cheap to fix. My mom just backed her SUV into a walnut tree that's been in her yd for yrs, trying to make sure she didn't hit her neighbor's car. Chuck couldn't believe she did it. She's 81, he's 63, think she has a better excuse.

I'm still snowless but noticed the temps are rising, it's a balmy 22°!

Just been busy with the new job, it's crazy right now but I fit in with the management team & they are thrilled to have me. That makes a difference.

Congrats on the new job, Hayseed.

Its 10° here now, but by the time we were done pulling traps, it was getting windy. Windchill was probably 0. Except for feeding the horses, we came home and ratholed to watch football games. The Steelers won, but Ben got hurt and one of the coaches, Joey Porter, got arrested at a bar.

Ben did something to his foot/leg when he got hit and threw the interception. The news showed him walking around with a walking boot on. Joey Porter is suspended, probably gonna be fired. People don't seem to be happy with the bouncer that reported him to the police.

Went to talk to our insurance agent about my friend's car. She said we could be cancelled because Chuck's had 2 accidents in less than 2 yrs. 😞 She said they probably wouldn't, but they could. Might have to buy him a horse.

40° and it's raining pretty good this morning. Didn't think of leaving the rain guage out last fall.

Just checked the forecast for KC on Sunday 36° 60% chance of freezing rain. Should be a good game. She isn't worried if the roads get bad we have a ton of family in NW Missouri & KC

She's coming out today after a job interview & help with some bench work on the pups.

I was suppose to get my truck inspected and the oil changed today, but we had freezing rain so I rescheduled for Friday. Not going out on icey rds even with 4 wheel drive. Usually, I have it parked for winter by now. The cold temps and PT in December got me off schedule.

We got the bench out this wk, too. Dogs get right up on it, but act like they never stood on one before 😞
We haven't had them hunting since before Christmas. They are probably as fed up with this crappy weather as I am.

Arrggh...I hate change! Chuck just came up, our new TV isn't working. He was trying to watch a DVD on it and couldn't get it to work so now he can't get the TV to do anything either. Gotta go see if I can figure it out.
