Storm
Bob, just an update on Storm. I've been working nights at he Nuclear plant here in Athens Alabama every since the Tornados came thru on the 27th. I finally got a night off Tues. night. I went to the kids ball games and came home, put everyone to bed, then me and Storm hit the timber! I cut him loose about midnight in the woods behind my house. Mostly hardwoods with a pine thicket on the edge of a pond. According to the GPS, Storm was 243 yards in front of me on the edge of the pine thicket when he struck. He trailed to the right as he got deeper and faster. He ran around the pond and his bawls were getting shorter and shorter. He got out about 475 yards to a fence row and turned back into the hardwoods pooring it on and headed into a deep creek bottom. he was 384 yards from me when he hushed for about 15 seconds and gave three long dying bawl locates and rolled over to an every breath chop. He was covered with slobber when i got to him. I was taking my time cause he sounded so good. I got there and squalled a few times and he had the meat! He gets better and better evertime I take him. He absolutely hates a coon (don't ask how I know). He is the straightest young dog i've had in years. When we get these units back up and running, i'm going to hunt the pads off of his feet!
