Russell said 3 wins to grand and 1 toward show, the last one probably has not been sent in, so you got 4, 1 more to go.

Storm

Bob, just an update on Storm. I've been working nights at he Nuclear plant here in Athens Alabama every since the Tornados came thru on the 27th. I finally got a night off Tues. night. I went to the kids ball games and came home, put everyone to bed, then me and Storm hit the timber! I cut him loose about midnight in the woods behind my house. Mostly hardwoods with a pine thicket on the edge of a pond. According to the GPS, Storm was 243 yards in front of me on the edge of the pine thicket when he struck. He trailed to the right as he got deeper and faster. He ran around the pond and his bawls were getting shorter and shorter. He got out about 475 yards to a fence row and turned back into the hardwoods pooring it on and headed into a deep creek bottom. he was 384 yards from me when he hushed for about 15 seconds and gave three long dying bawl locates and rolled over to an every breath chop. He was covered with slobber when i got to him. I was taking my time cause he sounded so good. I got there and squalled a few times and he had the meat! He gets better and better evertime I take him. He absolutely hates a coon (don't ask how I know). He is the straightest young dog i've had in years. When we get these units back up and running, i'm going to hunt the pads off of his feet!

Ticker

sounds like storm is making a fine hound. I'm glad he is doing good for you. I gave up on him to soon which is easy to do when you have to many dogs. I always liked him because he looked so much like Rags. Every story i hear about him he has a coon when he trees, i really like that.

storm

I've only been to two trees so far that I didn't see a coon. One was two big pine trees grown together (thick and he treed like he was looking at it) and the other was a den. he might be a little slow getting hooked at times, but you don't have to question his intentions. He likes to be right! I've only hunted him with another dog once since I've had him. So he doesn't depend on anything else. I've put a little weight on him since i've had him. He is a great looking hound. He has a good bluetick mouth, not over powering loud, but plenty loud enough. I'd like to find a female out of Rags if you know of any available. I'm headed to Mississippi in the morning to pick up blue female pup. Thanks for letting me ramble! haha How old was he when you got rid of him?

STORM REPORT:

hey Bob, i was off last night so i cut STORM loose at 0100 am this morning. it was a cool 53degrees here in North Alabama. i hunted 3 hours. Storm made 5 trees. the first one he struggled on a bad track and treed on a poplar tree in a fence row. may not have had him, wouldnt look if he was there. the next tree was huge den (lay up). when he opened he was treed. the next three all had coons in them. he wasnt ready to quit, but i was.lol have u ever just watched a young dog put it all together? Storm has improved so much in just the last three hunts. he looked twice as good tonight as he has yet. i've seen five coons the last three hunts with him. he is a joy to hunt now and i wish i could hunt him everynight. oh, he covered a total of 3.16 miles on 5 trees. its 5am. im going to bed! later

oh ok

Hey do you know of a good started young female that would cross good with Storm some day. I'd like a pup out of him
some day. Would he cross good with something out of scar? I'm not in a big hurry to breed him. I would like to find a young started female that is bred similar to him and get her where she needs to be, then breed them. just like your opinion.
Thanks

female

I got a female out of Mackey Creek Bo Jack and a GRNTCH female out of Smokey River Jeans Blue Tramp. Shes a pretty nice female. Big Mouth. I'm going to breed her to Storm. Took them last night before the storms hit and they got deep quick and treed one.
