"WHAT AN EXCELLENT TRIP"!

Thank's as alway's Heather ! I didn't see your text till it was in the wee hours & I figured I best not return it then.

You was at a genuine coonhunt huh? Howd ya'll like it & did ya get to go along with anybody ? Where did ya go to it at ?

Been sufferin from some major jet lag since we got back from Angola but it was expected & sooner or later it will at least loosin it's grip some.

Had a blast at the Nat'l hunt & trvelin with Mitch Mueller! Got to put a pile of faces to names & was honored to meet so many folks from all over the country!

I had several that wanted to see the "Bum" that I didn't get the opportunity to with the meeting, showin & time spent with all the fine people that introduced their selves to me all weekend. For that I apolagize cuz I wanted ya'll to see him that wanted to. I was a bit over whelmed by it all but was not suprised to see the fellowship that is present among "OUR" breed of choice!

Couldn't even begin to recall everyone's names but to all that introduced themselves,"THANK YOU" ! Always enjoy babblin 'bout Bludawg's & wish I could have seen more of the hounds that represent "OUR" breed in this day & age than I did.

Gotta thank Mitch for pickin my carcass up & bein the sole pilot on our journey not to mention lookin out for me which unfortunately I need & his help with the show string. Try try as I may I couldn't get him to show the "BUM' for me in pairs that day.....LOL!!

I figured a guy that recently won a "BEST OF SHOW" would jump rite in !!

Thank's to Savanna Brook's for givin me a hand in pair's! It was greatly appreciated Savanna!!

Already can't wait till next year to return to Angola & hopefully my son's will be able to attend so we can enter some of these dog turd factories in the hunt. I was real close to givin it a try but chickened out. Didn't especially wanna be seen goin thru the issue's that unfortunately I do at times or hav'ta be feild dressed so they could drag me out !

Hey RUSS!

LOL on the text! DUDE... if I had REMEMBERED where YOU were I would NOT have bothered you with a text! LOL!
Bob and I went to the Monadnock Sportsmans event. Got to watch water races and feild trial and tree contest on coon and bear and a cute little bench show. It was in the NH mountains, just outside Keene, NH. GORGEOUS day. Had never seen all those events(except bench of course)... The show was FUN cause the Handlers were mostly a bunch of big old bear hunters... the bluedawg that won the show was rather NICE... and watching Mr Ferguson show was a blast! LOL... Did not stay for thenight hunt... it was a 2 hr drive and SOME of us need our beauty sleep. Miraculously I held up AWESOME. Felt better than I have in years! My spine felt GOOD and still does...so that was a BIG deal as yo uknow. Doing the 1-1 1/2 hrs a day exercise is obviously necesary even if it's ALL I can do daily...LOL... Sunday Morning I woke raring to go, came on here to "catch up" and by about 11 am I was nearly comatose
Met some REAL nice people from closer to us in NH who we can go up to hunt with at some point! The have some nice red females, a little dark one and a bigger light one. Bob loved meeting some more people and got to eat bear chili(I tasted it but figured if I ate a bowl of chili Bob woulda had to tie me to the roof going home... LOL...
I am SO glad that you had such a GOOD time!
TTYL! Heather

Great to meet you Russ!

I enjoyed talking with you some Friday evening Russ. That was a good looking walking stick you were toting around. I'd venture to say a couple hours were invested in creating that ole stick! LOL Keep on keeping on, you have been a credit to the Bluetick Breed. Even if you can't get out there & chase the blue biscuit eaters around like you used to, what is inbetween those ears up there can't be taken away. I was tickled to finally be able to shake your hand & meet you. Best of luck to you & your sons with your hounds.

Thank's Vic & it was an honor to meet you as well! Yeah a lil time invested in that walkin/anti wobblin device but a person's gotta do sumthin bein at home all the time. I am a proffessional piddler. Start doin a lot of stuff & never get most of it done....LOL!!

The hand carving is sumthin I been workin on on & off & for the last three years or so. Some day's I can do it & a lot I can't but I enjoy watchin the wood take on a new life when I can.

Best of luck to ya & we'll see ya again somewhere !

Thank's Fred ! I prefer one colored like "Bum" with slim to none for body patch's but the rite colored up dark one with the lite cream trim I think is awsome.

"Bruiser" did that to me years ago,the addiction with the cream tan & got a good bit of it here.

Our "Fancy" female is colored like I wish they all would come for us. Someday "IF" we ever have a litter that all come with the cream trim I'ma gona be one happy camper....LOL!!

Thank's for the update Tim! Mine are further advanced but they get that run loose option. They like'ta tree & don't want their hand held in the process to much.

Boone's been havin some fun with "Lolly" & "Latch" as well it seem's by the pictures he sends me.

My buddy the "Dude" is gonna be a fair sized hound & all the mouth you can imagine as far as the volume knob goes.

Keeper at it & the best of luck to ya !

"THANK YOU" !

We appreciate all the kind words more than you know !

It was deffinately a "FUN" weekend all the way around with freind's & family. Our first official stay on the grounds & sleep in the camper gig & I can tell that it's gonna happen a good bit more.

Matt had some good hunt's & cast member's both night's. "Patch" had +725 on friday & was hi-scoring dog. Saturday he beats me & the "Bum" along with others out for Grands in the show & goes on to win "King of the show". Saturday night "Patch" had +425 on two coon & the "CW" along with it which gave him another first place nite champion win & ultimately "KING of the HUNT"!

A big THANK YOU & CONGRAT'S to Matt for doin what "WE" like to do as a family, when the deer ain't a ruttin of course. Also To Him & Ben for going along with this addiction I beleive I have installed in them,or is IT Genetic's ? Promotin "Bumlet's" is just gettin started for us & now have some outa "Patch" that are gettin after it as well. We's fixin'ta to have a lot of fun down the road I'ma thinkin?

Saturday night I spectated with Matt & "Patch" after tryin the nite hunt thing myself on friday with the "Bum". Have I ever said how much "I HATE" fightin dog's & especially a female?? After doing this for the first time in a lot of year's I got to go thru all the emotion's that can come with it,unfortunately in one night & not sure I liked it? Another thing that don't fly well with me is the deny'n the fact that your dog is rough! Just because their the masters of the lite breakin thing,an attempt at it in this cast tried till I said to keep your D@MN lites on the ground !

Got called some interesting names by a woman hunter because I minused her dog for bein off the tree a good way's which kinda started the downward trend. "Bum" ain't packin enough hair to handle that & it's perfectly fine with me if he only allow's the coon he tree's the opportunity to add scar's to his collection. Then I got bristled up to by a banty rooster after the hunt. I seriously had all I could do to keep from latchin him up by the windpipe but opted to be the bigger man & walk away UNTIL he started in again. Wonder if he ever got all the copenhagen off the top of his head from that round. Someone like that is alway's real tough amongst their freinds & knowing the consequences. Best part he wasn't even in our cast but had ties to the name callin don't wanna take HER minus model in ours.

I absolutely dispise people that won't take what their dog has earned by messin up ! ABSOLUTELY DISPISE IT !!

Certain aspects of these event's will never change & that's the part I hate 'bout these dang thing's. If people would just "MAN UP" or "WOMAN UP" how ever ya wanna see it to what their dog was doin everything would be peachy! When they hand me the card I promise you it is gonna be done 100% by the book regardless of any temper tantrum's Or attempted intimidation, regardless of man or woman. "IT AIN"T GONNA HAPPEN" period. This ain't my first rodeo as they say.

Anyway's,I'm a lil reluctant to enter another one for a while & that's a fact ! First tree of power fangin & me runnin tryin to catch the SOB did me in. Them adrenaline rush's take me down & made the rest of the night tough to endure but I'll be jiggered if'n I was gonna quit regardless. It sucked that my first attempt to do it again had heavy cloud cover over it & had the effect's on me it did. This over sized prune on my shoulder's just can't handle it, so the "Bum" & I are gonna keep on doin what we do best & that's wadin around with puppies & treein coon with'um.

One minor p!$$y cloud didn't ruin the weekend in the slightest though ! I did win Best of Show friday with "Fancy" as well. Another "Bumlet".

Congrat's to everyone else that placed & won any part of the event & a special "CONGRAT'S" to Mitch & "Bella" on their first place win !! I could see that comin after a resent hunt with them !

Thank's to the member's of the Shell Rock Coonhunter's for hosting yet another excellent event for us. I seen a lot of folk's smilin & laughin & got to BS with a good share of'um. Met some for the first time like Fred & his grandson & I was honored to be able to.

We are all after a common goal no doubt & I was proud to see all the posative attitudes & the grinnin!

"QUITE REFRESHING"!

"COME ON BUM, LET'S GO CHECK ON LEROY & SEE HOW BIG THEM LIL WREN'S GOT IN OUR ABSENSE", "YES,WE ARE GONNA GO SEE YOUR GRAND KID'S JUST CALM DOWN"..................................................
