TDM-- I like that! You should try stand up! Just kidding! No I think you misunderstood I was talking about my search for a Stud. I wanted one that was accomplished in my type of terrain first and for most. Although we may seem to be arguing I doubt we are very far apart with our beliefs.

I agree with your premise of over breeding to sell pups. I don't think that everyone should be accused of it though. I don't think 2% is an accurate number. Just because I did not make a cross does not mean it is not intelligently thought out cross. I am not aiming any of this at you TDM just a general statement. You have not offended me just a little touchy about "if it isn't my hound it isn't any good" sentiment in general.

TDM-- Apparently we are having a communication gap we are going to have to make a phone call before one of us makes the other mad for no reason. I said that none of that was directly aimed at you just a general statement. Also I admitted my character flaw, that I am overly touchy that "if is not mine it is not any good sentiment." Sorry for the confusion. And no I don't know you at all.

Don't you worry bout making me mad...and I apologize I misread your statement...And I also have that same character flaw..
When I got into this coon hunting thing is read this board and I'd read bloodlines in awwww....I could only dream of owning these dogs I'd read about....than I drew out with several and just scratch my head and think we'll maybe there having a bad night....than I'd draw em again and is see the same thing so I'd scratch my head some more....than I'd draw em again and realized they must have lots of $$$$ or just finish em in there back yards....

I've realized winning a hunt hear and there or placing in a few bigger hunts really don't mean much...I see 10 times more promoting in this board than I do in the winners circle....I've drew a few females posted on this thread and all I can think is if these are the quality females in our breed than I'm getting outa this breed.....

GrNitech Hagerman blue split shot

shes a top female and CONSISTANT cast winner. Shes not gonna take all night to get treed and shes gonna be alone with a coon super accurate. And Most definitely not scared to go hunting. super nice tree dog doesn't matter where you take her she trees coon in 13 different states now. (Only 3yo). Will say if there's 1 thing I could fault her on she's a Lil trashy before she comes in heat but doesn't hurt my feelings.

Jesse also has a nice 1. Believe her name is jewel drew her at the Dave dean hunt.

As far as stud dogs go I've found more that I don't like that was bragged up. The 1s I've found are never advertised much.

Very Well Said in my opinion!

Yes, all the bells and whistles are preferred, but an efficient coon treeing dog should be the #1 priority.

Hard to get it all wrapped up in one hide. If you are lucky enough to find one that has it all, even harder for one of those to reproduce its likeness.

Wch Ch Grnitech Shivers Magic Buckeye

I have hunted her in several states and she has held her own! She wins most of her casts and many hunts! I have never worried about if she was bred and have drove hrs away and hunter up to 42 days pregnant.her qualities are she gets gone and gets treed and has a coon! But doesn't pass coon up trees 10 feet to 1 mile doesn't horse race! When she trees she is stuck! Has a good mouth and will go were ever a track takes her! Faults will tree a possum but won't stay long on it like 2 times a year. Gets in sticky situations like up greed in holes, pipes, houses, barns. Is a chop all the way trAck and tree but a clear change over. Hard to catch when your done and she not treed.

I got a female that I think is good. She's fast, stays treed, don't pull can handle pressure, don't run anything off, not mean in anyway at all.she don't miss. Handles great. And has more brains then most people. Out of herron's lockdown bad ace and herron's lockdown jenny Lynn. She's a hard hunting little dog. She may not always win but u will FOR SURE know she's there. She's got a heart and very loyal to me. She gives me her all every night and all night till the last drop of the night. She's my best friend. She's what I call a coon dog.
