And they shouldn't start the process not because the republicans said so but because the VP said so over 25yrs. ago that the president should not nominate anyone for S C. and the senate would not start the process to nominate a S.C. N. 15 months before the election even before there was a vacancy. Also in 2008 Reid, Schumer, Obama and a bunch of other democrats said they would filibuster any S.C.N. in an Election yr. so this isn't the idea of republicans, the republicans are just doing what the President and VP said was the right thing to do, so don't try and blame this on the Republicans they are just doing the will of the democrats.

I am not sure but I think that they want a change from all of the Professional Politicians that are at the beck and call of the special interest groups and don't listen to their constituents that they are supposed to be representing.
