back to the original question

if i won enough money.

*1 i would buy 5000 acres and put a 15' electricified fence around it with a 20 moat and 10 ' fence behind it with a few gaters to keep the water clean..

build trails thru the whole place where one could ride 4wheel drive, wouldnt have to walk more than 20 feet to any tree if didnt want to,,knees about gone..

*2 build the best kennel setup i could build for the dogs i been breeding and raising for the last 4o yrs and hire someone to help with the feeding and hunting
as way they are bred ,dont need trained to hunt just taught to heal and basic comands .breeding has the rest under control.

*3 go down south and find another body for my 1975 chevy 4 x 4 and a nice heated /ac fited dog box to put in back of it for the dogs.

*4 a cabin at the kennels for the dog feeder/caretaker
a 5 acre underground thermo heated home at undisclosed place on the property..

that would about cover it...if i won .

If you have been to enough "pro" hunts $$$$$ hunts you know who they are LMFAO. Steve I don't know why you are taking it so personal unless you have a "Big Stud Dog" like I am describing . I guess your aloud to have an opinion but know one else is unless it's the same as yours. I'm speaking from what I have seen out of these dogs in the last 15 yrs. I'm not the only one either I 've gotten several PM's from people who agree with me but don't want bashed on the board. If your getting your feelings hurt about what is on these boards it's time to check your man card. LOL

It's just that you say absurd nonsense, I have yet to see a list of counterfeits that you talk about winning the big hunts...you would think over the past 15years you would be able to name some dogs to back up your ridiculous comments.

Made three trees tonight, 2 coons and a den. All the trees were over a mile from where I turned loose. Needless to say they weren't moving good

Have you been to enough "pro hunts" to see this?

Every time I'm in one I draw a bunch of coon treers that are hard to beat.

Josh me and you both know the sacrifices you make to push a dog in the big hunts those guys are serious. But I think where some of these guys get there negetive thoughts about them is they don't understand at one of those big hunts the sheer number of the dogs that show up causes not everybody to get in good hunting so the scores and play by plays somtimes are not impressive those coons get dogged for a whole week I encourage anybody try it for just 6 months you will have a different opinion.

Well Steve if you make it to the spring classic on thurs, nite or Walker days this yr I would be more than willing to tell you my list in person. I'm not dumb enough to post the fake dogs. However, if you do a search on old posts people have come out and said the very things I have seen over the yrs out of some of these dogs. I Never said all the big winners were like this. I said some.

Yadkintar, you are right about the good hunting. That is why my phone rings off the hook a month before the spring classic. Guys wanting to pay me to guide them because they know my cast winner will be in the money. This hunt use to draw over 200 dogs and we would hold a pro hunt along with it. Which I guided. Now it only draws 100 or so dogs. Still some good dogs there but many more so so dogs now.

I sure see on this board a lot of guys that have the best dogs and bash all the rest of them. They can also tell you how to breed dogs to get the perfect little coon treeing machine. My favorite part, is they don't do the hunts and their dogs never go to town but they're the best thing since sliced bread. Just gets old reading that same old nonsense over and over.

I know a dog Robert that was as good as any. After starting late and getting into the top 3 in the state in PKC and CHKC, 5 casts to go from NT CH to GR NT, going to two pro hunts, the SS, UKC and PKC World, all of which he done well in and finally a private hunt, went from one of the best in the business to a dog I'd be embarrassed to pack. In 5 months.

Nobody that has done it much runs their mouth about winners, because they know what it takes. The ones that do run their mouth haven't done it much.

It all comes down to money, any Avg dog could be a "big" winner if there taken to the hunts every weekend. There are very few dogs at the hunts that are greatly better than everyone elses dog. There are a few but not many. Other wise you wouldn't new clubs with big money prizes. People wouldn't pay the big fee's to hunt them if they didn't think they could win.

ahh ha.hunted my young English do last year in 5 U.K.C. hunts last year winning 3 cast.one cast win 4 50 plus points 2nd place.one cast win at 150 plus points 2nd place.one cast win with 50 plus points 1st place win that made him a night champion. 225 total plus points .all 3 wins were on bad nights full moons with the leaves off.he won buy treeing enough coons to cover his mistakes and his handlers while the rest of the cast drew more minus points than they could over come.we also won the 1st round of the iowa state pup 2 year old division 150 plus .lost 2nd round to nice walker male who had 225 to our 125 .won high scoring dog at the Preston Luft memorial hunt Saturday night 200 plus .seams to me its not large scores that win hunts just a matter of winning your cast.
