fur prices

I took 52 coon in yesterday to a local buyer in ohio. These coon where hunted with dogs. I had 37 coon that the buyer purchased at 2.08 . 15 coon where no good. The coon have to be a good color along with size. I have heard of a buyer buying any coon for 50 cents. This buyer showed me his coon hides he has scraped and put up to dry. He did not have any little coon he scraped. If you read the newsletters and reports the market is a mess . Please be kind to my reply to post. I live in ohio and have good woods to hunt. I have permission in the woods I hunt because the landowner wants coon killed. Every one knows that if coon get overpopulated what happens. Also I hunted most nights up to 10 or 12. I was not out to kill every coon I have seen. The dogs tree them and I like to hunt them

Killing 52 coon in good coon population isn't gonna hurt a thing!!
Most 'older' farmers around me want them thinned out...or I hear the old Golden Marlin fly bait is coming out story.

''Live where hunt,hunt where you live'' {its different for everybody}

There's been seasons where I've taken 100 up to 150.
Can go to any of my spots and still tree coon{s} within 100-600 yards.
My hounds got older,prices went to crap.So I don't shoot as many now.
Maybe 25 so far this season.

I stop to get permission at a place the other day, an old lady came to the door, invited me in, gave permission, then said she had poisoned 36 coon this year. I thought about reporting her, but didn't because she old and nice and an anti anti

Why on earth would you think about reporting someone killing nuisance coons on their own property
