hunting judges

Thats why i dont hunt in hunts anymore HUNTING JUDGES SHOULD NOT HAVE COMLETE ATHORITY.

Most just use it to win the cast thereselves!! And most do.
Not right to have slick handling beat best dog. You should not have been scratched for handling your dog at tree and you probley did it same way all night but with 8 min left he couldnt beat your dog so he cheated you!! JMO and probley many more.

Just because a dog comes to a tree or close to a tree does not mean the dog is at the tree. I always give the dog a few short seconds to determine whether the dog is at the tree or if its gonna move on. If my dog is struck in and comes by a tree, checks it and then keeps going, then it is not at that tree and if a judge tries to scratch me for not handling a dog that's working out, we gonna have a problem!

I disagree. A judge should score All situations and if a handler don't like the call, then they can question it. If a judge is judging just to win the cast himself, the other 3 handlers are as much if not more to blame for not questioning his calls and calling a vote. If the rest of the cast allows a judge or handler to get away with that, its not "slick handling", its called getting out-handled!! A majority cast vote can beat the heck out of a crooked judge!

slick handlers

You can call it what u want. It is still crooked. I have hunted hunts since 1977 i have seen it all. A shame we cant have non hunting judges. ACHA 5 DAY WORLD HNT IS THE FAIREST OF ALL HUNTS.and i have made over 20 mtch and one nkc world champ. And slick handlers or crooled judges win most of the time. Guys dont have dog power to win find a way. Used to mean something to make a champ. But all it means anymore is that u show up only one or two cast. When i hunted there was always 25-30 at every ukc hunt. It all started to decline when hunting judges started to be used. Looks like i am not only one who feels this way. Now it money handler who get paid to win. Most dont even hunt there own dogs. It simple to see. If you want to. UKC world final are non hunting judges snd the most enjoyable hunts i have been in just a shame you have to get to that level to have fair and balance hunt. I have said enuff
IN MY BOOK ANY TIME A MANS DOG BEATS YOUR BUTT ALL NIGHT AND YOU SCRATCH HIM ON A TEC.JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN. IS CROOLED.IF IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH INTERFERING OR KEEPING YOUR DOG FROM TREEING A COON..YOU JUST GOT BEAT. WE NEED MORE DOGS TO WIN AND NOT HIRED HANDLERS WINING. AND THEN A NT CH DOG WILL TRULLY BE A CHAMP. JMO. and by the turn out at hunts anymore not mine alone.

Most people these days have seen all the crooked tricks and if they're competent enuf handlers, they keep that slick crap to a minimum. I don't mind nonhunting judges, but don't think they're the answer to the crooked judge, because they're far from it!!! Read the topic I started titled Hunt Question and you'll see what I mean. A non-hunting judge judging a cast with a "buddy" on it, and it could be a long night for the other 3 cast members. You cant vote against a non-hunting judge to keep him in check, and if you take a question back to a MOH or panel, they usually side with the non-hunting judge that THEY chose to judge in the first place!!

I can understand the handling rule, But if a dog is on a road or in some sort of danger? I'm not asking anyone permission.

You guys lost your common sense or what?
