It's a classical Greek expression of defiance.
When the Persian armies demanded the Greeks surrender their weapons at the battle of Thermopylai, King Leonidas responded " come and take'em".

Really??

Check out this link. Then read the last line of the "Dog Running" section. It reads "It is legal to chase foxes and coyotes with dogs year-round with a hunting license.

http://www.eregulations.com/indiana...earers-hunting/

If I understand this correctly, the fox and coyote hunters can run their dogs 365 days a year but coon hunters cannot??

Anyone else have a better interpretation??

Skip, that seems to be what they are asking us to do.

I don't have to worry about it anyway, I have fox hounds that occasionally tree a coon at night, but not frequent enough for me to try to break them off treeing, cause I like to squirrel hunt them as well.

Hard to find a good multiple purpose hound!!!

John

this has been years ago but a man up in Michigan got caught running in the summer, he went to court and told the judge that he was hunting possums and his dog trashed the judge said that he could not control what his dogs did and they through it out, his name was Carl Honey and he was a weird one anyway.
